GamesBeat reporter and gaming insider Jeff Grubb says not to expect to see either Sucker Punch’sGhost of Tsushima2 or BioWare’s Dragon Age: Dreadwolf at the upcomingPlayStationShowcase.

After months of rumours and speculation, PlayStation finally confirmed that it will be holding its first PlayStation Showcase in two years on May 24. That has, of course, started up the speculation mill once more about what games are going to make an appearance there, what ones are too far off, and what studios might finally reveal what they’ve quietly been working on behind the scenes.

Although many were likely considering Ghost of Tsushima 2 a shoo-in considering how popular the first game was and the fact thatSucker Punchhas been quiet ever since the release of the Iki Island expansion, it seems that we shouldn’t be expecting it that. GamesBeat reporter and gaming insiderJeff Grubb spoke about some of the games to expect at the showcase during the latest episode of Game Mess Decides, and Ghost of Tsushima 2 is sadly not one of them.

During the podcast, Grubb said, “Real quick, moving back to PlayStation Showcase, I might have just snipped out two things that won’t be there, if that helps anybody. It doesn’t sound like Ghost of Tsushima 2 will be there. It probably won’t be there”.

This might come as quite a surprise considering how quiet Sucker Punch has been in the past few years, but it’s also worth remembering that Ghost of Tsushima actually only launched three years ago and during the middle of a pandemic. It certainlyfeelslike longer thanks to Covid, but it’s actually not been that long, especially when you consider that the Iki Island expansion was only two years ago.

That’s not the only game that is likely to miss the PlayStation Showcase altogether, however. Grubb continued and revealed that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf won’t be shown there either, noting that the last time he talked about it, he mentioned that it would be later this year “at the earliest”, joking that we can now say for sure that it’s not going to be later this year.

If Dragon Age: Dreadwolf isn’t going to be at the PlayStation Showcase, it seems likely that BioWare won’t have a presence there at all, since the upcoming Mass Effect game appears to be a lot earlier in development than Dreadwolf. Grubb notes that it’s more likely that we see the next Dragon Age in 2024’s Summer showcase, but at least we managed to get a very brief glimpse at early gameplay for it in these leaked videos from earlier this year.
