Multi Battle Tips

The bottom line to winning a Multi Battle is keeping rhythm better than anyone else. If you can achieve the best timing and provide safeguards for moments when you fall short, you’ll rake in the wins!

Rhythmic Precision Is Critical

Playing single-player Theatrhythm can make one complacent. After all, you can complete most quests if you have the right party and a decent number of Criticals. Furthermore, with a healer and enough items, you can beat a music stage with a mediocre sense of rhythm. Theatrhythm’s single-player content is forgiving because it rewards RPG know-how. However, Multi Battles, at their core, are music/rhythm stand-offs.

While playing a Multi Battle, you must believe that your competitors can achieve as substantial a score as you and aim higher. Each Rainbow Critical judgment is a step closer to victory. Anything less allows opponents to overtake you.

When bursts are on, the need for perfect rhythm becomes even more vital. Timing modifiers, like Mini Triggers and Judgment, can leave you vulnerable, giving less-skilled opponents a chance to pull ahead. Learning to nail your timing during these bursts is ideal. However, you can minimize the damage by building a solid lead of Rainbow Critical hits before these bursts occur.

Recruit A Healer To Your Party

Although knockouts will not eliminate you, they’re the last thing you want to happen during a Multi Battle. After all, the KO penalty will knock back some of your points and possibly place you behind opponents. Furthermore, bursts like Chocobo Stampede and HP Swap make KOs less avoidable, even for high-skilled players.

You must recruit aHealercharacter to your party to bypass a penalty. These characters will help you recover damage and avoid knockouts.Defensetypes can also help you since they have abilities that significantly minimize damage taken from enemies. Lastly,Huntertypes have abilities that will avoid damage when your timing falls short.

Equip A Summonstone With Burst Gauge Recovery Effects

Our first two tips will help you win Multi Battles, regardless of burst rules. But if you plan to partake in Multi Battles that include bursts, you can gain an edge with your summonstone. After all, summonstones often have effects that can increase your party’s attack damage, thus allowing them to defeat more enemies and fill the burst gauge faster. However, some summonstones have effects thatraise the burst gauge recovery rate. Equipping a summonstone with this effect will guarantee faster burst gauge fills, which can pressure your opponents into defeat!
