If you’re a fan of Final Fantasy 12, you might recognize this as bears a striking similarity to the Bazaar mechanic from that game. It works the same way, meaning all the spoils you gather from fights, other than upgrade materials, should be sold. Doing so, along with progressing the story, will add more equipment to get your hands on.
Chained Echoes: Shop Deals Explained
Shops you come across in Chained Echoes will eventually open up as you play through the game. When you fight monsters, you might receive items from them that are classified as ‘Loot’.These loot items have no use outside of being sold to shopkeepers,so make sure you’re selling everything you come across in the loot section.
When you sell the loot to a Vendor, if it happens to be something they were looking for, you will be notified that a new Deal is available to buy. In the Deals menu, you’ll be shownhow much a specific deal costs and the required itemsyou need to sell to the Vendor for it to be unlocked.

When you see on a Deal that it requires certain materials, this is telling you that you must sell the specified amount of that item for the deal to unlock.
All it will cost is some Arc.
Deals are important to the game, simply because they will beone of the only ways to access some late-game gear. It doesn’t matter if you don’t buy all the Deals, the only thing that matters isunlocking more of them by selling all your Loot.Furthermore, the same Deals are available at any Vendor you come across,so don’t worry about backtracking. All the Deals have a title, giving you a hint as to what you’ll get for buying it.
Early in the game,Shop Deals will be your best way to obtain new weapons, without having to buy them at a higher price from the armored, they will typically be upgrades to the weaponsyou find from Stealing or in treasure chests.

Using Shop Deals To Unlock Ultimate Armor
The best thing about Shop Deals is that they give you access to some of thebest armor in the game and powerful accessories you might otherwise only have one of.The bad news is that the Loot required to unlock the Deals areitems you get from killing unique monsters. The Deals tied to the best armor are called Ultimate Clothes, Ultimate Robes, Ultimate Heavy Armour, and so on.
To access these, you’ll need to have sold at least one of the required Loot items to the Vendor.Even if you’ve not sold the proper amount, you’ll be able to see what you need and you can set out to collect them. All of the Ultimate Deals provide you withtwo pieces of armor, which is more than enough to share around with your party members.
Due to some of the required drops being from Unique Monsters, you may have to fight them multiple timesfor them to drop the item you want, but thankfullythey can be fought as many times as needed.
Using Ultimate Heavy Armour as an example, here is what you’ll need and where to get each material:
One
Collectible - Magic Academy Nhysa
As mentioned, selling one of these items to any Vendor will prompt the Deal to appear. If you want help finding each monster material, you will need to find andrecruit Tehlla in the Arkant Archipelago to your clan. Doing so will unlock a passive skill thatshows the information on where to find materials and Lootused in equipment upgrades.
As a bonus, killing Unique Monsters is an objective on the Rewards Board, so you’ll eventually end up getting them all if you go hunting for them to unlock the Ultimate Armor.
