Anna,Elsa, andKristoffhave been inDisney Dreamlight Valleyfor a while now but the trio is not the same without faithful Olaf. The innocent snowman has now been added to the valley, and it is time to figure out how to find him.

Some villagers require you to enter the Dream Castle and spend Dreamlight to unlock character realms, while other villagers are quests you stumble upon while tending to your valley and exploring new biomes. Find out how to get Olaf, complete his first quest, and what rewards await you for being his best friend.
How To Unlock Olaf
As soon as you log in, there should be acutscene of a winter blizzard in Frosted Heights. This means that Olaf is waiting for you. If you haven’t already, you will want tounlock the Frosted Heights biome to start Olaf’s quest. Speak to Merlin about the strange snowstorm in Frosted Heights and go investigate!
There should bedark footprints at the very back of the biome, on the right side of the river. Interact with the rock wall the footprints are in front of to find a secret entrance. Olaf will be waiting inside to begin his quest. He has lost his buttons, arms, and nose.
You will have tochase ghoulish squirrels around Frosted Heights to get his body parts back. These squirrels will have purple smoke around them and will leave smokey trails.You can find them on the right side of the river.
After giving Olaf his body parts back, you willunlock the purple squirrel asa companionoption in the Wardrobe menu.
The Great Blizzard Quest Walkthrough
After giving Olaf most of his body parts back, you will need to speak to Elsa and then startwatering strange frosted puddles near the Pillar outside and inside the secret entrance. You will find out that you must repair the portal inside the secret entrance. To do this you will need Glass, Purified Night Shard, and Shattered Prisms. Shattered Prisms will be inside the cave.
Night Shards are a bit hard to come by because you need todig the cracks in the ground around the valleyto spawn them. Sometimes these cracks will spawn regular Dreamlight crystals instead. If you are having a hard time collecting Night Shards to turn into Purified Night Shards,you’re able to turn Onyx gems into Night Shardswith a crafting table.
After repairing the portal and putting the prism shard on the center mantle, you will need tofigure out what other gems go onto the remaining pillars. you may grab your collection of gems and put them in until one works, but we have made it easier for you. The first one, closest to the entrance, isAmethyst, thenCitrine, and then the empty mantle closest to the portal isEmerald.
To unlock more questswith Olafyou will need to level up his friendship. There are many different ways to level villagers up.When they are very low level, say from 2-5, you can easily throw flowers at themto level them up quickly.Past level five, you will want to focus on gifting them their favorite itemsof the day, which can be found by heading to your Memories menu and then to Characters. If Olaf won’t give you another quest,take a look at your quest journal, and it will tell you what level he needs to be for you to continue.
Olaf’s Friendship Rewards
Leveling up your friendship with Olaf has more rewards than simply gaining a new quest. Like other villagers in the Valley, you can unlock unique items related to the Frozen universe and Olaf as you progress through his friendship levels.
