The presence of various Disney characters is one of the main attractions ofDisney Dreamlight Valley, a relaxing RPG where you may farm to your heart’s content while slowly trying to save the valley from The Forgetting. A bunch of characters went back to their realms because of this phenomenon.

Nala is one of these characters, and you can start the process to unlock her in the Dream Castle. This castle can be found near the Plaza area, which is where you’ll spawn at the start of the game. You need to finish some quest to unlock it.
How To Unlock Nala
When you enter Dream Castle, you’ll see multiple floors with numerous doors on them. Theleft door on the second floor will lead you to The Lion King realm, as shown above. It’ll take you 10,000 Dreamlight to free this door from the Night Thorns, but it does let you unlock two characters.
The game has an infinite number ofdaily tasks that give you Dreamlight in the Dreamlight Duties section. These tasks are also relatively simple.
This is one of the best ways to earn Dreamlight quickly. you may have enough within an hour with this method, even if you have none.
Enter the realm once you have it unlocked and you’ll see Nala roaring at a bunch of hyenas. After talking to her,she’ll head outside to distract the hyenas while you try to block their path. You’ll find five Thorn Bushes around the dried oasis in the corners, as shown above. Use your Royal Shovel to dig them out.
This will give you five Thorn Bush Seedsthat can be planted in the holes near the path leading outside. Once the seeds are planted and watered, Nala will jump through the vines and show her gratitude. She’ll then ask you to open the pathway into the cave so you can reach the jungle.
Use the Shovel on the tree stumps blocking the cave, and follow it to go up to the jungle. After talking to Nala, head to the left edge of the waterfall andyou’ll find a rock that can be broken using your Royal Pickaxe. Breaking this will knock over the log and let you go to the top of the area, where you’ll find Simba.
Follow Simba back to the jungle and witness his conversation with Nala, where she’ll mention that she’s quite hungry. Simba will then ask you to get some Bugs from different areas:
Take the bugs to Simba and he’ll ask you to get Red Bugs from the area where you met him.Go up into the jungle and dig all the stumps that look like the ones shown above. One of these stumps will release a horde of bugs that will run around the area at a quick pace. You have to get close and interact with each one of them.
After you have all the bugs, you’ll find some boiling cauldrons near Simba and Nala.Use them to create three Bug Platters and hand them over to Nala. For the next part, head back to Scrooge McDuck and take a Sound System from him. To repair this, you’ll need a few items:
Repair the Sound System at the crafting table and use it by talking to Nala again. Finally,you’ll be able to place the Pride Rock in Dreamlight Valley, and Scrooge will ask for 15,000 coins to build it. Nala will arrive in your kingdom as soon as you finish the building.
Nala Friendship Rewards
Once Nala is in the Dreamlight Valley,you can raise her friendship to level ten to get some exclusive rewards. This can be done by finishing her friendship quests, giving her different gifts, and hanging out with her after you reach friendship level two and assign her a task.
If you want to reach maximum friendship within an hour,you can pick every flower around the map and gift them all to her.
Flowers increase every character’s friendship slowly, but you’re able to find them for free.
Nala’s Waterfall
Staking Your Territory Quest Walkthrough
You’ll unlock this quest after reaching friendship level two, and you can start it by talking to Nala.She’ll ask you to get Scar’s Lounging Rock by talking to Scrooge and browsing his stock. This will cost you 4,600 Star Coins. Once you have the rock, simply place it in Dazzle Beach with seven Landscaping pieces of furniture.
Talk to Nala after placing the pieces of furniture andshe’ll ask you to dress up in Rustic clothing and put on a mustache. Talk to Nala at Dazzle Beach after that to continue to the last part of the quest, where you’ll have to catch three Common / Uncommon and three Rare / Unique fish. Cook any fish meal and bring it to Nala to end the quest.
Common or Uncommon fishes can be found by fishing anywhere.You can even fish in locations without any bubbles.
On the other hand,Rare fish can be found in blue bubblesandUnique fish can be found in golden bubbles.
Fishy Business Quest Walkthrough
The second friendship quest is unlocked after reaching level four with Nala. Talk to Nala and head over to Skull Rock near Dazzle Beach.You’ll find a shiny dig spot in the area where you can get the Lioness Statue. Take a picture of the strange rift that spawns in the water after digging out the statue.
The next step is to find the statues in Frosted Heights and Glade of Trust:
After getting all three statues,talk to Goofy about a mysterious fish that he found near the rift. Once this dialogue ends, you’ll have to head back to the rift in Dazzle Beach and fish the golden bubbles near it. This will give you a Weird Fish, which can be taken to Ursula for further analysis.
The quest can be finished by talking to Nala after Ursula.
The Heart Of A Lioness Quest Walkthrough
This quest can be unlocked after reaching friendship level seven with Nala.The first part will require you to get different fish for Moana, Remy, and Donald:
You need multiple Crabs and Tuna for the quest, soit’s recommended to hang out with a character who has the fishing task.
This can help you get two of a certain fish if you get lucky.
Give the fish to the respective characters,talk to Nala, and interact with the paw tablet inside her home. Once again, you’ll have to gather a few materials after that:
Create three Enchanted Shards and bring them to Nala to end the quest.
Here And There And Back Again Quest Walkthrough
The final friendship quest can beunlocked by talking to Nala after reaching level ten. Talk to Ursula afterward and gather the following materials:
Clay

Clay can be found bydigging the swamp area around the poolsin Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, and Forgotten Lands.
Sand
Sand can be farmed from the blue stones on Dazzle Beach, but you’ll need to unlock Moana to farm the smaller ones.The bigger rocks will require you to upgrade Maui’s friendship level and finish the quests.
Aquamarine

Found in the rock structures in Dazzle Beach and Forest of Valor.
Citrine
Found in the rock structures in the Glade of Trust and Sunlit Plateau.
Amethyst
Found in the rock structures in Frosted Heights and Forgotten Lands.
The rock structures that give you the gems mentioned abovecan only be found on the edges of the region.
These structures respawn after a few minutes once you break them.
Place the statues near the three rifts and catch a Here and There fish.This fish can be found in any water at any time, but you have to fish in spots without any bubbles. Talk to Remy and make a Lioness Feast for her to finish the quest.
