Climbing very tall towers to be able to reveal huge parts of the map is nothing new to open world games - it simply makes sense. Getting to a very high pointwouldallow you to take in your surroundings. This is no different inThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which has you unlocking Skyview Towers.

Unlike in the previous game, you don’t have to meticulously climb each tower. Instead, you might have to solve a puzzle or endure treacherous terrain just to reach it. Once activated, though, there’s no climbing involved. In fact, they will launch Link straight into the air!

Lookout Landing Skyview Tower

Lookout Landing will be the first Skyview Tower that you unlock, and you’ll do so byfollowing the tutorial queststhat you receive after leaving the Great Sky Islands. If you need pointers in the right direction, check this guide here.

Hyrule Field Skyview Tower

To get to this Skyview Tower, you’ll need toinfiltrate a Bokoblin encampment. This can be quite a big ask, as there are many enemies to consider, including armored Bokoblins, a Moblin, and a Hinox to contend with.

Take this task slowly and surely, fighting few enemies at a time, and only go in with enough food to recover from a few mistakes.

It’s possible to cheese this entire sequence by acquiring theBokoblin Mask. You’ll get this by startingKilton’s quest, which is found just to the northeast ofWoodland Stablein Eldin.

Give him aBubbul Gem, and you’ll get the mask. This will allow you to enter the encampment in complete safety and activate the tower with no combat.

Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower

This is one of the Skyview Towers with a small puzzle attached to it. The gate to the tower is locked, and you cannot get in.

To enter the tower and unlock the door, you’ll need toenter a cave beneath the tower. The easiest entrance to use is a little bit north of the tower, adjacent to a Splash Fruit tree. Head inside this cave.

Tears of the Kingdom - The cave under Sahasra Slope

This cave is filled with smashable rocks, and provides enough weapons and rocks to FuseRock Breakersto get through them. Your aim is to break through into a small room directly underneath the tower (rough coordinates: 1344, -1170, 0131) and useAscendto get up inside.

Once inside, remove the sticksthat are holding the doors in place.

You’ll know that you’re in the right room if there is alarge rock flanked by two small rocksat one end - behind this big rock is another room with aBubbulfrog and lots of mineable ore.

Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower

Getting to this tower requires that youcross some water and climb a cliff, which can be problematic if you haven’t upgraded your stamina much.

A good way to cut out much of the busywork is tobuild a campfire(by lighting some Wood up with aFire Fruitarrow or by striking some Flint next to it) and thenthrow aHylian Pine Coneon top of it to create a huge updraft. You can use this updraft to glide over to the tower.

Upland Zorana Skyview Tower

Reaching this tower is quite simple, but actually getting inside is another question. The door (and a nearby Zora) is covered insludge. To remove this sludge, you’ll need to usewater- two ways to do this are by usingChuchu JellyorSplash Fruit.

Conveniently, there are someSplash Fruit trees nearby. Just attach one to an arrow (or throw one) at the sludge, and you’ll be right as rain. Free the Zora and talk to him afterwards, and you’ll be rewarded with aZora Spear✨.

Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower

Eldin Canyon is one of the more puzzling towers to unlock. Talking to the nearby NPC will reveal that the cap on the top of the tower was knocked off by somefalling ruins, giving you a hint as to the solution.

Look to the left of the Skyview Tower and over the cliff - you should see apatch of ruins, which are a different color rock to the surrounding mountain. There should be a block of recently-fallen ruin on top. If not, just wait a little while; they fall constantly in this area.

Glide down to the ruins andclimb on top of one of the smaller ruin blocks. UseRecallon it, and you’ll be able to ride it high into the air. Wait until you’re up higher than the Skyview Tower and then glide to it, heading down into the towerthrough the openingat the top.

Once at the bottom of the tower, you’ll be able to activate it as usual.

Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower

When you reach this tower, you should be able to see what the issue is pretty easily. There is anAerocuda(a flying monster) circling the tower with a device in its clutches.

Shoot the Aerocuda downandbring the terminalthat it was holding to the entrance of the tower. Talk to the NPC there to get the tower fixed.

If you lose sight of the terminal after shooting the Aerocuda down, useUltrahand- the terminal will glow as all interactable objects do.

Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower

You’ll find this tower in an enclosed area with some campers. The issue here is that the top of the Skyview Tower isblocked by a floating platform, and it’s up to you to get rid of the blockage.

There are a few floating platforms around, along with some Zonai devices. Some of the higher platforms also have Constructs on them ready to shoot you down, but you don’t have to worry about these too much.

An easy solution to this puzzle (that only requires that you have aFanin your inventory) is toattach two of the nearby Zonai Rockets to the sides of one of the platforms- make sure they’re symmetrical - and then activate them while you’re on top. You’ll shoot up into the sky.

Once you’re higher than theplatform blocking the tower, glide down to it.Take out your Fan and attach it to the top. Activate the Fan, and it should blow the platform out of the way, letting you get inside and activate the tower.

Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower

The only real challenge in getting to this tower is actually getting there. This Skyview Tower is surrounded by an extremely cold environment, so you’ll needtwo layers of Cold Resistanceto survive. To accomplish this, you’ll need one of the two solutions listed below:

No matter how you get there, you’ll be pleased to know you don’t have to solve any puzzles or do any extra steps, you can just activate the tower.

Rospro Pass Skyview Tower

This is another easy tower to reach and activate. As long as you havea level of Cold Resistance(see above), you’ll be able to reach the tower safely.

There are lots ofthornssurrounding this tower. To get past them, simply set them onfire- they’ll burn for a little while before disappearing.
