How To Start The Four Faces of Hemdall

This quest is on the island ofFaroe, one of the larger islands in Skellige. It starts byvisiting a shrine to Hemdall,northwest of Trottheim. There, you will see a pilgrim trying to convince a trio of bandits to allow him to worship.

Trottheimwill be inhabited by banditsunless you complete the questFollowing The Thread.Unless you have done so, it is best totravel west from Harviken,a considerably less dangerous settlement.

How To Deal With The Bandits

Talk to the banditsto start the quest. There arethree possible outcomesto this interaction.

Pay Them

Geralt willpay the bandits 20 crownsto gain access to the shrine. While distasteful, it will let you resolve the situation without bloodshed.

Fight Them

Threatening the bandits will, predictably,start a fight.Naturally, you will need todefend yourself from themby killing the lot. The way will be clear after they die.

Complete Following The Thread

If you had completedFollowing The Thread,the bandits will recognize Geralt andturn hostile.You willhave no choice but to kill them.

Regardless of how you gain access to the shrine, the pilgrim will thank Geralt, ending the quest. You will be able tolearn about Hemdallduring this conversation, as well.
