Zacian is coming into Pokemon Unite as an All-Rounder, possessing several high-powered attacks to use on opposing Pokemon, proving to be a dominant force on the battlefield. Below you can find everything you need to know to master Zacian, including the best strategies and items to use when choosing to play as this Pokemon.

When To Pick Zacian

As mentioned previously, Zacian falls into the All-Rounder category. With a handful of decent stats, you can find success while playing this Pokemon in several different situations and areas of the map. That being said, Zacian hasextremely high offensive statsfor an All-Rounder, thriving when it comes to dealing massive damage and taking on different opposing Pokemon you’ll come across.

Because of this, Zacian finds success both when playing solo and playing with other teammates. With this in mind, you can choose to play in any lanewith this Pokemon, proving to be effective in the top lane, bottom lane, and central lane. Regardless of which lane you choose to play in, make sure that you’re quickly defeating wild Pokemon and grouping up with your allies at the time and location of large team fights and match objectives.

Additionally, Zacian possesses a unique offensive ability, calledIntrepid Sword. This ability gives you the option touse stored up Aeos Energy to boost and empower your different attacksand moves. Proving to be an extremely powerful ability, you’ll want to take advantage of this when battling in larger team fights or against tough opponents, meaning that youshouldn’t always prioritize scoring points with your Aeos Energy.

All in all, Zacian is a relatively easy Pokemon to pick up for both new and experienced players. With somewhat simple abilities and mechanics to get familiar with, this Pokemon deals massive amounts of damage to opponents, while also proving to be relatively bulky when it comes to its HP.

Zacian: Sacred Sword Build

This build takes advantage of Zacian’s potential to dealmassive amounts of damage to both solo targets and large groupsof opposing Pokemon. For this reason, this playstyle works best when playing ineither the top or bottom lanes, constantly placing you at the center of most major team fights and match objectives.

Move Selection

For this build, you’ll want to select the movePlay Rough, giving you a dash thatdeals damage to and stunsopponents that you hit with it. Pair this with the moveSacred Sword,a move thatdeals damage in a circular area of effect. This move unleashes two consecutive attacks, first dealing damage and slowing enemies that are hit by it, then dealing more damage and leaving enemies unable to act.

To make the most of this build, dash toward enemies with Play Rough, leaving them vulnerable and unable to act if they are hit by this attack. Follow this with Sacred Sword, dealing massive damage and further stunning them when hit by both attacks from this move.

As mentioned above, the effectiveness of this build is maximizedwhen used in larger team fights. This is because of the relatively large area of effect for Sacred Sword, allowing you to deal significant damage to multiple targets when used in the right situations.

Held Items

With the Intrepid Sword ability of Zacian, you are only giventwo Held Item slotsto customize. For this build,Scope Lensproves to be a great choice, adding to thecritical-hit rate and damage. With the high offensive stat for this Pokemon, this will allow you to deal even more damage to opposing Pokemon than you already do.

You can pair this with theMuscle BandHeld Item, primarily boosting your Basic Attacks. This, again, will add to the damage that this Pokemon deals on the battlefield, this timebuffing the damage speed of your Basic Attacks. This will allow you to constantly deal large amounts of damage to your opponents, even if your primary attacks are not available.

Zacian: Metal Claw Build

This build uses Zacian’s attacks tosingle-out lone opponents, allowing you to quickly knock out other players in 1v1 situations. Although this build can be played on any area of the map, it’s especially effective when opting to play in thecentral lane, placing you in several 1v1 situations throughout the course of a match.

Start by choosing the moveMetal Claw,a dash attack that deals damage to any opponent that is hit by it, as well asapplying a decrease in their movement speed. Additionally, the shock wave that is created with this attacknegates any projectile attacksfrom opposing Pokemon that it makes contact with — a helpful defensive aspect of this move.

Following the initial shock wave of this attack, you will charge and deal damage to any opposing Pokemon that it hits. If you make contact with an enemy with this charge, yourBasic Attack speed will increasefor a brief period of time.

Pair this attack withAgility, another dash move thatremoves hindrances and boosts your movement speedfor a short duration. Use this move to either dash toward enemies that you are trying to knock out or to quickly disengage from dangerous battles.

Again, you will only be able to equip two Held Items when using Zacian, giving less options when it comes to customizing your playstyle. For this build,Focus Bandproves to be a great choice, providing you withadditional HP regeneration when your health gets low.

Like with the previous build,Muscle Bandis recommended when playing as Zacian, providing you with buffs to your Basic Attacks. This is especially useful when opting for this playstyle, as you will have several one-on-one battles, providing you with an edge when dealing damage using your Basic Attacks.

With Agility being used for this build, you will not need to equip a Battle Item that provides you with additional mobility, like X-Speed. For this reason, theX-AttackBattle Item proves to be a good choice, adding to the damage of your attacks when used prior to an enemy engagement.
