With a hero roster of 37 different playable characters, inOverwatch 2, it can be difficult to understand the mechanics and uses of each of them. Especially, when new maps are added, with character reworks, and, of course, the addition of new characters, all of these factors can make your head spin when trying to get a grasp on how to play the game.

The new hero, Lifeweaver, is a support class role and comes with a lot of new interesting mechanics that could have a massive impact on the game, making it vital to understand their moveset and the best ways to play them.
Tree of Life(Ultimate)
Lifeweaver has a total of200 health. As a hero in thesupport class, he also has the passive ability toheal himself after not taking damage for a short time.
Tips And Tricks For Lifeweaver
As with most support characters, Lifeweaver has a unique set of abilities that can heavily affect other players on the team. However, more than the other support heroes, Lifeweaver hasthe potential to do a lot wrong and turn winning fights into lost battlesif not played correctly.
Changing Input Layout
One of the immediate issues you will find when first playing Lifeweaver is that he has two basic attacks, hisHealing Blossomto heal, and hisThorn Volleyto damage. However, unlike a hero like Moira, Lifeweaverhas to change weapons to alternate between healing and damage, which can feel very clunky to play, and difficult to work into a fight.
There is an easy fix to this where you’re able to go intoOPTIONS->CONTROLS->GENERAL-> Then scroll down to theNEXT WEAPONbox and change your key bindings to something easier.

Formouse and keyboard, a recommended switch from having to use1 and 2to switch weapons is to simply set it to be yourright mouse click.
Then forcontroller, change it from thearrow keyto one of yourback bumpers L2/R2/LB/RB.

Make sure you are making these changes forLifeweaver only, otherwise, it will affect how you play characters like Mercy.
You will then have to move around the button layout for your other abilities, but you will find that this makes Lifeweaver feel a lot smoother to play.

Extra Uses Of Petal Platform
When you step on your Petal Platform, it will start raising you into the air to give you some high ground, but you can go even higher if youjump at the right time to receive an additional boostto the height you can reach with your hero.
Whilst the platform will disappear after ten seconds once activated, when not activated the platform will stay grounded indefinitelyso don’t feel the need to rush onto it, when you have the time to prepare for the push upwards.

A good place to put your Petal Platform when defending a room isby the entranceso that an enemy could step on it and be pushed up towards the ceiling, discombobulating them and giving you a few moments to run away or reposition.
In an open area, you’re able to place yourTree of Life ultimate onto the Petal Platformand go up with it to give yourselfhigh ground, healing, and amassive amount of protectionwith the tree, which has 1,000 health and the platform with an additional 400.

How To Use Life Grip
Using Life Grip willpull allies towards you and this is one of the hardest abilitiesto use effectively.
For example, it would be easy to accidentally pull your Reaper away from the whole enemy team as they are usingDeath Blossom, taking away their team kill and making your team lose the fight.

However, there are a lot of situations where Life Grip is useful. You cansave people who have been pushed off the mapand are falling to their deaths, and you could use it topull people to coverwhen an enemy Reaper is using Death Blossom or another ultimate that is sure to kill your allies.
you may also use Life Grip in an even simpler form. Even though it has a cooldown of 20 seconds, making it one of the longest for a hero ability in the game, you don’t have to only use it to save your team from enemy ultimates. With enough practice, you can get good at understandingwhen your teammates are about to die from a normal team fightand so, you can use your Life Grip then to pull them closer to you away from the damage, so that you can heal them before they go back and join in with the fight.
The main problem with this ability is thatit is incredibly difficult to know when you need to use it. Often, players will chase an enemy down to finish them off or go to low health when in an intense fight, and the last thing they want is to be taken out of combat by you. So make sure you are certain it is the right time to use Life Grip and definitely don’t use it whenever you can.
How To Play In A Match
For a support, Lifeweaverdoesn’t really do that much healing. Only his basic attack and ultimate can heal other players, with the other abilities all being useful for repositioning.
To play Lifeweaver well, you will need to think of your teammates at all times and work to get them to safety, making sure tokeep your other support alive, so that there is a solid amount of healing going on throughout the fight.
Play Lifeweaverat a rangeso that you don’t get picked off. His damage is good and he can work incredibly well for getting your team into strong high-ground positions that can help win fights.
you’re able to get away with not reloading for some timeif you switch between your two basic weapons. Use them for a few seconds, switch to the other, and do the same. When you switch back you will have automatically reloaded. This means thatyou have a lot of uptime and can stay in the action for a long timebefore having to back out. Keep this in mind and aim to stay in the fight as long as you can, giving as much assistance as possible.
Try andcommunicate with your teammateswhere you want everyone to go and form a plan so that you don’t accidentally pull your teammates away from a situation they want to be in, and help to pull them out of certain death.
