One of the survival skills is to create fire. You need to be able to craft it if you want to cook food and spend the chilly nights. There are two items in the game that you need to create fire; two Sticks and a Lighter.
How To Create Basic Fire
You will need to collect two sticks; they can be found anywhere near trees or shrubs,and make sure you grabbed the lighter from the Crash Site.
Once collected,equip the stick from the inventory, and point them on the ground until two small dotted white lines taking the shape of those sticks appear. Pressthe interact buttonto break the stick and put it on the ground.
You will be prompted to break another stick and put it above the other to get a stronger fire.You technically can create a fire with a single stick, but it runs out quickly.
After you break the sticks, you can interact by pressing the corresponding button to light them using your lighter and a leaf.
How To Create A Reinforced Fire Using Rocks
Creating a basic fire is quite easy, but having to continuously tend to it becomes stressful, so it is recommended to create a Reinforced Fire. Fortunately, basic fire can be used as a base. So, once you have the basic fire down,you should search the island for large rocks.
Once you have gathered them,equip them from the inventory, point them towards the fire, and place them down. You will notice asmall circle surrounding the firewhen you are holding the rock. You need to place the rocks in that pattern and complete the circle.
How To Create A Reinforced Fire Using Logs
You can also create a reinforced fire using traditional firewood instead of sticks. You can gather logs by cutting down larger trees with yourTactical Axe. Place those logs on the ground and split them using your tactical axe.
Once you have smaller halves of the logs in your hand,interact with the basic fire you created before, and left-click to place them there to make the fire stronger.
How To Fix The ‘Fire Going Out’ Bug
A bug in the game extinguishes the fire seconds after you make it. Regardless of the material you use, the fire goes out quickly. When this happens,you should try the following steps to fix the issue:
