This quest is both a long overdue reunion for the former comrades in arms and a continuation of Geralt’s investigation into the Beast. The investigation is particularly challenging, involving a delicate curse cast by an old adversary with only one shot of successfully lifting it without any bloodshed.

Finding Regis In The Cemetery

After their brief reunion at the end ofBlood Run, Regis asks Geralt to find him at a nearby cemetery outside Beauclair where they can continue their discussion. It’sa relatively long rideaway from the city.

Perhaps unsurprisingly for a cemetery, the grounds are devoid of human life, with onlya ghoul presentto greet Geralt. After killing the lone monster, knock on the crypt’s door.Regis will not answer, forcing Geralt to find another way in.

You cancounteract their poison with White Honey, though consuming the potion willdisable any active potions and decoctions.

They hit a snag early on, needing astrong hallucinogenic substance. Few chemicals fitthe bill and all of them are difficult to acquire. In a stroke of good luck, Regis hasheard about a previously extinct species of Wightthat can provide the appropriate hallucinogen.

Hetasks a flock of ravensto help him find the specimen andinvites Geralt to share a drink with him.

Sharing a drink with Regis isentirely optional. That said, skipping it will have you miss out onRegis explaining the history of vampires in the worldand a chance tohear more about Geralt’s feelings toward his profession.

Once you reach the manor itself, Geralt will comment on the writing carved into the building’s walls. Deducing that it isa curse afflicting the Spotted Wight,he can startinvestigating cluesto lift the curse.
