While you can level up by working on your farm, you should understand the best ways to increase your levels. Doing so will help you save time, reach maximum levels, and unlock the best skills to cover your needs. Ensure you take some time to review the best strategies and utilize them.
Complete Every Quest Available
As you play through the game, you’ll come acrossmultiple quests to complete.
What It Involves
Main Quest
These quests have you complete various activities tohelp you progress in the storyand unlock more features and locations.
Bulletin Board Quests
These will appear on the Bulletin Board daily, so you should check and complete them.These are time-sensitive, so you must complete them in a few days.
Character Quests
Some characters will haveexclamation points above their heads, letting you know they want you to complete a task for them.
Generally, you shouldprioritize Bulletin Board questssince they take the least time and must be completed. You should then focus on main quests, followed by character quests, so you’ll unlock new things while also helping characters.

Choosing Experience Points From Lost Items
If you find a lost belonging, you’ll usually get some Exploration experience, some items, and a choice of additional experience. You may get up tofour rewards to choose from, though you have five experience types that can appear.
When You Should Choose It
Exploration
You get general skills to help you with most situations, such as an air dash.
You should choose this one if your Exploration falls behind the others. However, you’ll constantly get this experience, so it’ll most likely bethe one you choose the least.
Farming
You’ll unlock skills focused on farming, though some can impact yourtool speed and similar stats.
Go with this experience if you plan tofocus on farming with your character. Otherwise, you may not need much experience in this one.
Mining
You get skills focused on helping youget more ore, mine faster, and similar points.
This works best if you want to focus on mining orget the best equipment in the game. Everyone should mine at times since they can use the ore to create better armor, weapons, and tools for their farming efforts.
If you focus on Fishing or Farming, this is another solid choice if your mining falls behind.
Combat
You can choose from four main categories in this skill tree:magic, sword fighting, archery, and defense.
No matter what you plan to do, you’ll sometimes need to fight monsters. For example, you can encounter enemies whileexploring or going through the Mines.
In short, if you don’t have a choice for experience you want to prioritize, like Farming or Mining, you can’t go wrong with combat.
Fishing
You’ll get skills that help youcatch more fishand make fishing easier.
Fishing isn’t as common, but it can be agreat way to make money, so you may want to work on it. You can also get multiple useful skills, so go with this if you fall behind in experience.
Not only will these quests give you experience, but you may usually choose from a few of the ones above, helping you level up faster. Since these quests are easy to complete and require you to perform tasks that give you experience, you’ll maximize your efforts, sovisit the Bulletin Board and look for exclamation pointson the map.
Upgrade Your Equipment And Tackle Challenging Situations
While you can perform basic tasks to level up your various experience types, doing so will take a long time. For example, you can keep tilling the ground near your home, but you mustplant seedsto get more experience.
With that in mind, you wantbetter equipment and itemsto help you perform more challenging tasks. You can get better fishing rods to help you catch fish, buy better mining equipment to speed up your mining, and similar approaches. To upgrade your equipment, you mustcreate an Anvil and a Furnace using the Crafting Table.
The Furnace will let you meld different metals into bars from your ore. you may then use the bars to create different tools, armor, and weapons from the Anvil. It works well since it’llsave you money and trouble, but you must collect the materials yourself.
If you need the materials, you can go to the Mine and collect them through the levels. Getting better tools for the various tasks you want to perform will benefit you in multiple ways.
Why They Matter
You’ll perform tasks faster.
The better the equipment, the fewer hits you’ll perform to complete actions. For example, if you have a better pickaxe, you canbreak most ore in a single blow, saving you some time. If you perform tasks faster, you’ll get experience faster and maximize your daily time.
You can destroy larger objects.
Some objects can’t be destroyed with standard equipment. For example, youcan’t break large trees with a Rusty Axe, so you’ll want to upgrade it. The better the objects you break, cut down, or anything else, the more experience you get from the process. You’ll want to upgrade your equipment as quickly as possible, so you’ll make the most of your efforts and help yourself level up quickly.
You’ll keep yourself safe from monsters.
Speaking of upgrades, you’ll want toimprove your armor and weaponssince you may encounter monsters in the mines. You’ll also encounter monsters as you explore, so you don’t want them to take you out. If you fall to an enemy, you’ll go to the hospital, losing time, money, and the opportunity to gain experience.

Take Advantage Of Seasonal Pests And Keep Working
As you go through the game, you’ll get seasonal pests who show up at your home. For example, you haveWeedilthat’ll give you experience if you defeat it. The same applies toKrusty, who gives you mining experience.
You’ll know they appeared sinceyou’ll get a cutscenewhen you leave your house. The pest will appear on your land, and you can talk with them to find out what you must do to eliminate them. Not only that, but they’ll make various objects appear on your land, allowing you to gain additional experience.
