Persona 5 Royal Weapons Overview

During the earliest stages of Persona 5 Royal, you’ll be relying on the stock atUntouchablesor theloot you find in palacesto equip the team. Each piece of weaponry has anattack stat, accuracy stat,and a potentialadditional effect.

Your Thieves all have two separate weapons to use for physical attacks – amelee weaponand aranged weapon. Melee weapons are things like swords and whips, while ranged weapons are your guns slingshots.

Melee weaponscan be usedindefinitely, while yourranged weapons require ammunition.

The weapons you get in these two ways are definitely good and will carry you through the earlier parts of the game, but as the story creeps on and the difficulty ramps up, you’ll quickly want to look formore powerful weapons in the late gameto accommodate.

Sacrifice Personas To Get Stronger Weapons

This is wherethe electric chair in the Velvet Roomcomes into play – in order to obtain the strongest weapons for you and your teammates, you mustsacrifice the Personas that yield said items.

During a fusion alarmin P5R, head to the Velvet Room, withdraw the requisite Persona if they’re not already in your stock, and select toItemize Persona. This will load the Persona you’ve chosen into theelectric chairand shock them to death, when they’ll leave behindany manner of items. Plenty of them leave behind weapons, and this is how you get thestrongest weapons in the game.

As you may suspect,stronger Personas yield stronger weaponswhen you sacrifice them.

This method of getting new weaponry willremove that Persona from your stockuntil you find, withdraw, or fuse it again, but it will also returnsome of the strongest weaponsin the entire game.
