InThe Witcher 3,the Lodge of Sorceresses have been scattered into the wind following their forceful dissolution at Loc Muinne in the previous game. As the final confrontation with Eredin and the Wild Hunt looms, Yennefer has Geralt collect the last sorceress she knows of, right in the middle of a Nilfgaardian fleet.

The quest Veni Vidi Vigo covers her scheme, having Geralt swim beneath the fleet to reach the Emperor’s flagship in order to deliver a letter from Yennefer. The quest will have you go underwater, avoiding searchlights in a short sequence that is not repeated anywhere else in the game.

Starting Veni Vidi Vigo

This quest starts duringBattle Preparations,shortly after arriving in Skellige. As Geralt and his allies arrive at the isles, Yennefer realizes that they have the opportunity to recruit yet another sorceress to their cause; Fringilla Vigo, who has been imprisoned by Emhyr and sentenced to death.

Yennefer tasks Geralt withswimming to Emhyr’s flagshipanddelivering a letter to the Emperor,reminding him of their agreement. If he honors it,Fringilla will be releasedand able to help the team.

Yennefer and Ciri talk to Avallac’h on a boat off the coast of Skellige at night, with the ship’s torches lighting them.

How To Get On The Ship

Considering that you will have toswim underwaterthrough the ocean to reach a moored fleet, you will want tostart swimming as close to the fleet as possibleand tostay underwater for as long as possible.

The former can be solved byFast Traveling to Marlin Coast.This will bring you close to the fleet. The latter helped byusing Killer Whale,a potion thatallows Geralt to hold his breath 50 percent longer.

Once you are ready, you will need toswim through the fleet while avoiding the searchlights.These are theorange conesemitted by the Nilfgaardian ships.Swim deep enough to avoid being caught by the cones.

Being caughtwill not be the end.If detected, the sailors willshoot at Geralt.If you are fast, and have the health to spare,they can lose Geraltif you swim deep enough.

Once you arewithin the orange circle,you are safe.Surface around either of the ship’s anchorsto be recognized by the sailors, letting you board the ship.

There will be another conversation here, dependent on your prior conversations with Emhyr. Regardless of any slights inflicted on the emperor, he willrelease Fringilla Vigo,ending the quest.
