The game offers a lot of decor choices for your restaurant. There is no tangible effect of changing the aesthetic of your restaurant in terms of bettering tips or visitors. This is just a fun thing to do for those who enjoy taking a break from the hustle and bustle to find peace in decorating and make their game and restaurant look unique compared to other player’s. Make the experience yours!
How To Open Customization
Just like when you need to customize your kitchen,there is a small construction zone in your office spacewhere you can interact with a toolbox and enable Design Mode. Like in the photo above, this mode is accessible just outside of your computer room.
Once you have enabled Design Mode, you canhead back into the restaurantand interact with just about anything.

There will beorange icons on the things that you’re able to editor replace.
You can change wall decor, the bar table, chairs, and more, depending on what you have access to. Selecting a customizable area will open up your restaurant furniture inventory, showing you everything you currently own.

Before you go ahead and buy new furniture,try going into Design Mode and see what you can change around. There are already alternative options in your design inventory before purchasing anything new.

Purchasing And Placing New Furniture
To actually purchase different decor items, you need toaccess the Catalog book in your office. It is sitting on your desk next to the computer. By interacting with this book, a shopping hub will pop up where you can peruse kitchen appliances, restaurant decor, player customization, and more.
Head to theDining Room tab, which should be the second option, to look at the different furniture for changing up the restaurant.
Plating happens after you complete a recipe, plate, and serve it. Buying plating for this part of service, as well as honing your food decoration skills, will increase thepraise and gradeof your served meal. Place Settings in the restaurant are just for looks.
Some furniture items havecollective themes. There is aBistro theme, Modern theme, Trattoria theme, and Pizzeria theme. You can see which decorative items have which theme by the white and pink icons next to their images.
The Bistro icon will look like achef with a mustache, whereas the Trattoria theme will have aplanticon, and Pizzeria, apizza. Some items need only ahigher leveland somemoneyto unlock, while others require that on top ofTickets.Tickets are earned by completing Challenges in the game.
Most furniture items can be unlocked by leveling up. The only items (in any category in the Catalog not just Dining Room) that are unlocked differently are theAl Forno tagged items.
In the Dining Room tab, these items are tagged as Pizzeria theming. Al Forno is a badge you need to earn to unlock tons of new things in the Catalog.
The only way to get an Al Forno badge is bypurchasing the Al Forno Editionof the base game.
