While most games require a barn, Sun Haven allows you toplace animals on your farm, even if you don’t have one.
Animals can beplaced directly on your farm, and they’ll be completelyfree-rangeuntil you’ve built afenceto keep them corralled.
Byplacing animals outside the barn, you can instead use the building for things likemachines or cheststo keep the farm organized.
TheAutomatic Feeders and Petters inside still workas normal like this, so long asthe animals have a clear pathto them.
Barns can be purchased fromEmmettover at theTown Hall, and each one will cost5,000 gold. You can placeup to four barnson your property.
How To Feed Animals
It should come as no surprise thatyour animals need food.
Kitty sellsAnimal Food, but you may alsomake itby using theBaker’s Station. The recipe requiresone Wheat.

However, you can invest inAutomatic Feedersfor the barn, toeliminate the need to feed the animals by hand each day.
The Automatic Feeder isnot infinite, though; you need toreload the Automatic Feederto keep it stocked.
Barnsall come withten feed slots, but if youdon’t have a barnon your farm, you’ll need tobuy Feeding StationsfromTown Hallin order to utilize the Automatic Feeder.
Feeding Stations will run you500 gold each.
If therearen’t enough Feeding Stationsfor everyone, some of your animals won’t get fedunless you do it manually, lowering their happiness.
