While most of the rewards are purely cosmetic, the Onyx Annulet ring has the potential to be a significant power increase to your character, regardless of your specialisation. This guide will explain how to acquire the Onyx Annulet, how to utilise it for all classes, and a breakdown of the Primordial Stone system.
How To Get The Onyx Annulet
The Onyx Annulet can be found in the initial chamber of theZskera Vaults in the Forbidden Reach.
It does not take long for a new adventurer to reach this stage, as only a few pre-quests need to be completed.

The initial Forbidden Reach quest, titledHidden Legacies, can be picked up in Valdrakken, requiring you to fly over to the new zone.
Once there, you need only complete a couple more quests in theMorqut Villagehub until you begin the questExploring Our Past.

This will ask you to travel to theZskera Vaultsandtalk toExplorer Jeb. The Vaults are a complicated system with many layers, but all you need to do for the ring is toenter the Vaultsanddefeat the spiderson the lowest floor.
One of the spiders is an elite but is not particularly challenging, so you should be alright if you fight them one by one.

After killing all the spiders, you’re able to head to the far side of the room. The Onyx Annulet will be lying on the floor with a quest marker over it.
This will give youThe Forgotten Ringquest, and you only need toreturn to Morqut Village to hand it in. This will give you the Ring, but to utilise its power, you must insert Primordial Stones.
How Do Primordial Stones Work
Your Onyx Annulet has three slots in which you’re able to add three differentPrimordial Stones. These stones all provide effects such as extra healing or damage.
Some will be more suited to single target or AoE, and which stones you’re after will vary depending on your class and spec.
These stones can be gathered from various sources, the most reliable being theZskera Vaults, where you will find randomised stones in the various vault chambers alongside decent amounts ofDormant Primordial Fragments.
This currency can be spent withResearcher ImarethatMorqut Villagefor random stones from a certain family.
She will also let you buy extra Onyx Annulets if you want to build multiple rings for various forms of content.
you’re able to turn your unwanted Primordial Stones into extra Dormant Primordial Fragments at theAnvilnext to Imareth, allowing you to fish for your best in slots.
You can alsoloot Primordial Stones from various activities in the Forbidden Reach.
However, these will not yield the same quantity as the Vaults, so try and utilise yourVault Keysto clear as many rooms as possible during the week.
Once you have completed thePrimordial Embellishmentquest, Primordial Stones can be freely socketed in and out of the Onyx Annulet and even upgraded.
This will require you touse two Unstable Elementium per stone, to increase itsitem level to 424.
The Elementium can be crafted by Jewelcrafters via the Work Orders systemand will cost you a small amount ofDormant Primordial FragmentsandSilken Gemdust.
