The first chapter ofProcess of Eliminationis quite chaotic - the twists and turns start coming and they don’t stop coming, and the first brutal murder of the game is thrust in your face. Not only that, but you have 14 individual characters to meet and get to know. It’s a lot, huh?

While most of your time playing Process of Elimination is spent reading, there are times where the game will prompt you to make decisions, and you’ll need to apply some strategy to the Investigation portions. Here’s our complete guide to the first chapter.
Pre-Investigation
During the prologue, you’ll be asked tochoose which of the two costumed people on the stream you despise more. This choice doesn’t really matter - pick whichever one you like.
The next choices that you make throughout the prologue don’t matter either.
Once Chapter 1 begins properly, however, your choices will start mattering. First, you’ll be prompted to choose betweenIgnoring the building in front of youand heading to the manor, orentering the building.
Enter the buildingjust to see what happens. After this scene, you’ll be placed back at the choice; choose toignore the building. These are the only choices you’ll make until the first investigation of the game happens.
During this period of the game, you’ll acquire the following pieces of evidence:Overly Clean Cut,Bloodstained Ceiling.

Most of this Investigation is simply a tutorial -follow along with Ideal Detective’s orders to learn more about how Investigations workuntil she gives you free rein in the middle of the second hour.
Thered points of interestcan be examined tounlock Keywords, and can only be acquiredonce per playthrough- if you’re going back to these Investigations with Chapter Select, you won’t have to pick them up again and thus can use your entire team of Detectives as you see fit.

Don’t worry about the empty ‘Residual Thoughts’ space - you’re only able to grab the Residual Thought for this Investigation on a second playthrough.

After the investigation, you’ll be forced to answer questions that display your understanding of the case as it happened.Answer the questionswith the following answers:
