The Witcher 3sets Geralt up as a deadly fighter that few can hold a candle to. While this makes for a good video game, it is easy to forget just how bad having so many bandits is. In the Skellige side quest Taken as a Lass, you can help reunite a family torn apart by a raid.

There are two ways to start this quest, each one giving you a different experience. One possible start will have you start by finding a brother seeking his sister while the other is the opposite. We cover both possible routes and their differences, below.

How To Find The Brother In Taken As A Lass

Search theeast coast of Ard Skellig, goingsouth from the village of Redgill,to find a Skelliger fighting a pair of pirates.Assist him in defeating both enemiesto start a conversation.

While small, Redgill hasplenty of alcoholscattered throughout its buildings. It’s worth picking dry for the alchemical supplies it gives you.

The warrior tells Geralt that he’s looking for his sister, Kurisu, who had beenkidnaped in a raid.The two bandits you had fought had given him a clue to her location.Agree to help himto start the quest.

The quest will bring you toHindarsfjall,where you will have tosail to the island’s southto find asunken shipsurrounded by several ekhidnae. Wipe out the monsters andsearch the ship for clues.

Fighting the ekhidnae from the boatis advisable. You can use Geralt’s crossbow toshoot them out of the skyfar quicker thanks tocrossbow damage being significantly increased while on a boat.

A notein a chest on the ship’s deckexplains both the wreck and Kurisu’s fate. The ship had been caught in a storm, giving her a chance to escape. TheTemple of Freyain Hindarsfjall would be the most likely group to take the woman in.

You will receive a quest marker leading you to the Temple of Freya. You will find Kurisuinside, talking to a priestess.Geralt will tell her about her brother, bringing the quest to an end.

How To Find Kurisu’s Location First

An alternative method would be tofind and speak to Kurisuinstead of her brother. She will tell Geralt her story but will be, understandably, unable to provide her brother’s location.

Travel to the same place, on theeast coast of Ard Skellig,to find her brother. Help him defeat the two pirates. With the enemies defeated, he will tell Geralt about his sister. The witcher will tell him that she is in Hindarsfjall, ending the quest.

This route willsave you timeby avoiding a visit to the sunken ship. It willhave a reduced experience point payout,however.
