One ofThe Witcher 3’shighest-profile easter eggs comes in the form of an unmarked quest that is aptly named Farting Trolls. Its content is little more than playground humor in a game dripping with dark themes and morally complex scenarios. Despite this, you may want to find the quest just to bask in its absurdity.

As an unmarked quest, finding the cave where the encounter takes place will be difficult. The same can be said for fighting the three trolls that make their home within the cave. If you have struggled with either problem, we cover the solutions below.

Where To Start Farting Trolls

The cave in question is on the road connectingArinbjorn and Kaer Muire.The fastest way to reach it would be toFast Travel to Holmstein’s Portand take the road north, looking for a pathleading to the nearby mountains.

You will know that you have reached the correct cave when youhear the sound of flatulencewithin. The trolls will be having their species' approximation of a conversation as they bask in the heady scent of their digestive system at work.

Killing The Trolls

In all likelihood,you will have to kill Jesse, Dodger, and Joe.The trolls, not the online personalities, to be precise. If not for subjecting you to a horrid assault on your senses, kill them becausethey turn hostile as soon as they spot you.You will need todefeat all three rock trollsin the cave to survive.

While a troll is manageable on its own, three of them can be frustrating. Theirnatural armor forces you to attack head-on,leaving you vulnerable to their hard-hitting swings. Keeping your distance will leave you vulnerable tothrown debris.

Try to position yourself such thatthere are trolls between yourself and the furthest one.Their debriswill collide with the trolls,protecting you from their ranged attack.

As with many fights that have you outnumbered, it is essential that youstay patient and on the defensive.The trolls are limited toslow, telegraphed attacksthat you can dodge if you remain alert. Usestrong attacksto maximize damage dealt in the short openings their moveset leaves you.

There isno reward for killing the trolls,though the treasures hidden within the cave will be free for you to claim. This includes the diagram forEnhanced Bear Boots.
