The world ofThe Witcher 3is large and filled with many things, from fascinating locations to interesting people. There are also a bunch of different types of collectibles. The Places Of Power are perhaps the most valuable ones. This is because they boost the power of your signs and give you ability points to level up quicker. So, it’s certainly worth interacting with them.

However, the game doesn’t just put their locations on the map. You have to find them, which is pretty difficult when the world is as big as the one in The Witcher 3. Don’t worry, though, as the locations of all of them are in this guide.

Aard
In the northern area of the map, next to a Monster Nest.

Igni
Right outside of the White Orchard Cemetary, just north of the Mill. Watch out, as there is typically a Wraith guarding it.

Axii
In the middle of the forest, southeast of the Nilfgaardian Garrison and northeast of the Sawmill.

Quen
Down at the bottom of the map, south of the Broken Bridge. The Place Of Power is amid some trees.

Yrden
East of an Abandoned Village. You have to head off the road and into a forest to find it. You might have to get past a Bear to reach it.

On the eastern side of the White Orchard map, north of Crossroads. It’s to the left of a battlefield, next to a Monster Nest.
You go past this underground Place Of Power during the Wandering In The Dark main quest. If you missed it, you may reach it by using the unmarked cave entrance directly south of the Place Of Power icon, next to the water.
It’s near the top of Bald Mountain. You gain access to it during the Bald Mountain main quest.
Close to the Ancient Oak tree and directly next to a cave entrance.
Located atop a mountain that’s northwest of the village of Downwarren.
On the west side of the map at a place called Lornruk. It’s down near the water.

It’s in the area to the east of Novigrad. It’s atop a small cliff in between Alness and the Vegelbud Residence.

To reach this one, you must head to the top of Novigrad by heading north from the Electors' Square. Follow the path that’s next to the edge of the island until you reach a door. Go through it to enter the Temple Of The Eternal Fire area. The Place Of Power is next to the main building at the edge of a cliff.
On an island in the northeast corner of the map. It’s atop Yngvar’s Fang mountain.
On an island in the northwest corner of the map. The Place Of Power is up north from the village of Svorlag. While following the path, you will come to a house that’s blocking your progress. Jump on the rocks to the left of the entrance to get over it.
This one is only accessible during The King’s Gambit quest when you side with Cerys. It’s located within the secret passage from the Wine Cellar.
It’s underground, east of Kaer Trolde. To reach that spot, use the cave entrance a little to the northeast, next to the Ancient Crypt signpost. You gain access to it during The Sunstone quest.
This one is southwest of Crossroads, around the center of the main island. It’s in the water among a few shipwrecks.
To the left of the Druid’s Camp on the eastern side of the main island is another Place Of Power. It’s just above the camp among some trees.
It’s on the eastern side of the main island. There’s a path over there that runs along the edge. On the said path is a Cyclops guarding a hidden treasure. Go inside the place with the hidden treasure and climb up to the higher level to locate the Place Of Power.
On the southwest part of the main island is a path that takes you up a mountain. Follow it up until you see the Place Of Power on your left.

In the southeast corner of the map is an island with a Place Of Power on it. It’s to the west of Harviken on a large hill.
The only Place Of Power in the Kaer Morhen area is up to the north. Towards the northern end of the lake, you can see a bit of water diverted to the right, which leads to the entrance of a cave. Go all the way through the place - passing through the area with the large enemy and climbing up a few rocks - to get back outside where the Place Of Power is waiting.
This Place Of Power is within a Monster’s Den that is northwest of Beauclair Palace.
At the southern part of the map, you may find this Place Of Power. It’s on a rock overlooking the water.
It’s on the eastern side of the map at the Termes Palace Ruins. You must locate the cave entrance covered by flowing water and go through it. Then, use Aard to break down a wall to reach the Place Of Power.
The next Place Of Power is also on the eastern side, but further up. Look for a cave on the side of a cliff to reach it.
This one is at the north of the map, beyond the Hanse Base. There are dangerous creatures around it.
