Unlike mostRobloxgames, Arcane Odyssey features quite challenging gameplay, especially when it comes to boss fights. At the start of the game, you’ll go against easier bosses to ease you into the mechanics. However, things will get a lot harder when you’re up against Lord Elius in The Stepstones area.

This will be one of the first few bosses related to the Order in the game. Lord Elius has a wide variety of attack patterns, and his constant movement makes it hard to deal damage since you’ll be busy dodging the attacks.
How To Find Lord Elius
Once you defeat Iris in Frostmill Island, she’ll tell you that she’s heading to The Stepstones. You’ll have to get to level 40 to reach the next part of the main quest. After reaching the required level, you can continue the quest in Cirrus Island until you reach Searching the Skies quest.
This quest will ask you to locate the Order members in the area.To do this, head over to the eastern side of the main island to spawn a Skyship. Once the ship is spawned, keep going straight where it’s looking when you spawn it. Turn a little to the right and you’ll see two more clouds at a distance, as shown above.

Reach the cloud island marked above and you’ll see a bunch of hooded figures.Defeat five of these Order Initiates in the area, and Lord Elius will spawn. Head to the blue mark and you’ll be able to fight him after a small dialogue.
How To Defeat Lord Elius
If you’re fighting the boss alone, it’ll have 1200 health in total.Though the total health isn’t too high, you’ll be quite low level when you reach this quest, so your damage won’t be as high either. Moreover, the boss can randomly drink a potion and heal 150 health in the middle of the battle.
If you fight Lord Elius with a friend orif another player is fighting the boss when you get there, the boss' health will increase massively. This can make it much harder to defeat the boss if the other player doesn’t know what they’re doing.

The battlefield will contain a bunch of pillars in a circular pattern, and the boss will constantly teleport to these pillars randomly. It’s important to keep an eye on the boss throughout this battle, and you have to deal constant damage so that Elius doesn’t out-heal the damage dealt.
You can’t attack him recklessly or you’ll end up taking a lot more damage than Lord Elius. After most of his attacks, Lord Elius will stay still for a moment. This will be your chance to attack him, but he might be on a pillar or mid-air during this time. You’ll need ranged attacks if you want to win this battle.

After chipping away half of his health, Lord Elius will enter a second phase where he’ll constantly have electricity around him. This makes it easier to track the boss, but he also gets more aggressive, which makes it harder to dodge the attacks. In this phase, the boss will also have a different animation to heal.
Whenever you see a bunch of blue lightning strike the boss, it’ll heal 150 health once again.Apart from that, there are only a few new attacks in this phase. The weather around the area will also change and it’ll start raining. The final cutscene will trigger after you defeat the boss.

Lord Elius Attack Pattern
Knowing the boss' attack pattern is as important as knowing how you can defeat him. The difficulty ramps up massively when you fight Lord Elius, and here’s everything you can expect from him:
Phase One
Arrow Rain
In this attack, the boss will stand still and shoot a bunch of arrows in the air. This attack has a distinct audio effect, and you can avoid it once you recognize the effect. The boss can track your movement while doing this attack.
If you’re moving in a certain direction,Lord Elius will place the arrow rain after predicting where you’ll be when the arrows land. Because of this, it’s important to time your dash to dodge the attack.
Bleeding Arrow
Whenever you see Lord Elius flying midair but not performing any attack, it means that he’s charging a bleeding arrow. This arrow will have AoE damage when it lands near you, and it’ll inflict Bleeding for a few seconds.
Ground Smash
Sometimes, you’ll see the boss standing with his swords in his hands. He’ll dash at you a second after he stands like that, and deal AoE damage when he reaches the ground. This will be followed up by another ground smash in a few seconds.
Slash Attack
The boss can alsodash directly at your character and slash a bunch of times, which will deal a bit of damage with every slash. If you dodge the dash itself, the boss will be in a vulnerable state for a few seconds.
Phase Two
This will be the most common attack in the second phase, but the charging time for the Bleeding arrow will be a lot less than in the first phase. You’ll constantly see Elius teleporting to different areas and shooting the arrow at you.
This is the same attack as phase one, except the second smash will be a lightning strike. This means that you’ll have to target the boss midair during this attack.
Lightning Strike
Lord Elius can randomly hit you with a lightning strike. This attack doesn’t deal a lot of damage, but it’s almost impossible to dodge.
Tips To Defeat Lord Elius
You’ll be restarting this battle a bunch of times, especially if you’re not high-level.Thankfully, the game sets your spawn point on the island where Lord Elius is located. You’ll need a lot of quick reactions to beat him since most of his attacks deal quite a lot of damage. Here are a few tips that can help you:
Once you defeat Lord Elius, the game gives you the option to spare him or kill him after extracting the information.Your choice changes some of the dialogues in the future quest, but it doesn’t heavily impact the story. The choice will also be shown at the bottom when you’re on the stat screen.
