Wo Long: Fallen Dynastyhas an item called the Dragon Cure Pot. This key item is your main source of healing, much like Elden Ring’s Flask of Crimson Tears. True to the Souls-like nature of Wo Long, you can upgrade this healing through various means.

One way to improve your Cure Pot is by finding an item called Dragon Vein Essence. Once used, this consumable will increase the efficacy of your healing, meaning you will restore more HP each time you upgrade it with essence. There are 15 Dragon Vein Essences hidden throughout the game.
Dragon Vein Essence Uses
Dragon Vein Essencesare consumable items throughout specific Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty missions. These items, mostly hidden in easy-to-miss areas, will bolster your Dragon Cure Pot. Using one willincrease your flask efficacy, which means more HP is restored upon use.
The other item that can be used to upgrade your Cure Pot is aDragon Vein Crystal. Using the crystals to enhance your Cure Pot will increase the number of times you can heal. Collecting all Essences and Crystals will unlock thePots and Potions achievement.

Dragon Vein Essence Locations
There are 15 Dragon Vein Essences to find throughout the game.Not all of them are found in Main Battlefields, so you’ll have to complete four side missions to find all essences to fully upgrade your flask. The table below will show you the location and in which mission you’ll find each essence.We have marked side missions as ‘Sub’.
Location
The Valley of Crying Wraiths
From thepanda demon after the bridge and a Battle Flag, follow the path around and you will come to two tiger demons. One is patrolling, while the other is stationary, guarding an item below a ledge. Thetiger by the ledge is guarding the essence. Kill it or quickly snag it.
The Yellow Heaven Burns (Sub)
From thesecond Battle Flag, climb the ledge to the right and follow the path all the way around. It will lead you to a Marking Flag and achest containing the essence.
In Search of the Immortal Wizard
In the cave with the final Battle Flag and a crocodile demon.Turn away from the flagand turn to your left. There will be a path going up. Follow this around to a ledge that you may use to jump to tangled branches. Theessence is on the tree branch.
The Fall of the Corrupted Eunuch
Facing theBattle Flag on the bottom floor of the dungeon,there will be mermaid demons galore. There is an open cell on your left that has thedungeon key, grab this first.Run out of the cell and to the right,going past a broken wall.Turn left when you hit the wall and this will take you to a locked cell. Open it and grab the essence on the floor.
The Battle of Hulaoguan Pass
Claim the second Battle Flag before the main gate courtyard. Turn around andgo back the way you came. Jump up the ledge in front and you’ll come to anenemy campsite. There areballistae positioned on the permitter of the camp. Mount the one opposite a wooden tower with large planks across it.Shoot at the planksto clear a way up. Now you may grab the chest on top of the wooden structure.
Darkness over the Hanshui River
At the final Battle Flag before the boss room.Turn around from the flagand jump across the water. Go to theright, to the housepositioned right at the end. Jump onto thebalcony and enter the houseto find the essence in a chest.
Tyrant’s Final Banquet
In theflooded room undergroundwith a panda demon and a crocodile demon,jump up to the higher level. You will be on narrow wooden walkways with Marking Fllag in front of you. Go forward, jump the gap, and look for anopen cage on your left.
Fate of the Entertainer (Sub)

From the second Battle Flag, you’ll be inthe garden areayou visited in the Tyrant’s Final Banquet mission.Go to the other end of the gardenand find the ornate bridge. The essence is in themiddle of the bridge.
War’s Flames Blaze Fiercely
Once you’vedrained the water for the last time,return to the previoussewer section with the stone soldiers. Drop down the ladder and go to the right, you’ll come to a room with ladders that was previously flooded. With the water drained, head across andgrab the essence on the other side.
Lu Bu, Mightiest Among Men
After you’ve drained the water in the town, you’ll come to a Battle Flag guarded by acrocodile demon. Claim this and goleft from the flagand keep heading forwards. You’ll pass through a building and when you reach the other side through a hole in the wall,turn right and climb the short ledge. With water in front of you, go to the right, then the left and the essence is in front of you.
The Uninhibited Heart (Sub)
Start at the second Battle Flag, just before the ladders into the sewers.Climb down and go to the right. It is in the same room you had to drain the water to reach. Jump down and climb up the ladder, follow the stairs up, and grab the chest in front of you. The essence isin the chest.
Behold The Glaive of Righteousness
As you enter thevillage of fog, continue along the path andpass by the tree. There will be a large fort door on your left and a tower on your right. Climb thebuilding on the right,and take the path to the right. At the end,by the ledge,you’ll find the dragon vein essence.
The Assault on Wuchao (Sub)
From thesecond Battle Flag, go to the left of the flag to find an opening. Go through this path and there will be aroom with spidersand a chest. The essence is inside the chest.
Decisive Battle of Guandu
After thethird Battle Flag, you are about to come to a section where you run onseveral red vines. When you reach the end of that path, there is a purple pool in front, and anape demon patrolling it. Turn to the right and follow the path. A giant rat demon is waiting to ambush you on the right, so be careful. Go forwards to find theessence in a ruined housebefore the large optional arena.
Hidden Village
Located in thebackyard of the locked home in the Hidden Village, to the right of the three chests. To reach it, you mustcomplete the lost keys mission.
