Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty - Wen Chou and Yan Liang use a critical strike together

This will be the first time in the game you fight two boss enemies at the same time. It can be hard to manage, least of all because they can both revive the other one time during the fight. They use some attacks together and can overwhelm you easily if you fight them alone.

Yan Liang And Wen Chou Boss Fight Strategy

As soon as the fight begins, Wen Chou and Yan Liang willbegin a joint attack that will end as a Critical Strike. There is a significantly long wind-up animation to this attack, which means youshould rush forward and get closeto them as soon as the fight starts.

While you do need towatch out for the wild swingsthat happen before the attack ends, you canget in so much more damagethis way right off the bat, instead of waiting and timing your deflection, due to how long the attack takes.

If you don’t feel comfortable rushing in,then deflecting the attack successfullywill throw Yan Liang back at Wen Chou, stunning them both for a spell.

If you hit the deflection, close the distanceas quickly as you can and hit them with a strong combo.

The game gives you a break in this fight becauseboth of them barely use individual Critical Strikes, and neither of them uses any elements. This means it’s a much more straightforward fight than the previous ones, and youonly have to deal with physical damage.

Yan Liang crawls around the arena fairly fast and hisattacks sweep wide and rapidly. Wen Chou, on the other hand, is much slower to hit but hisattacks are far more dangerousthan his friend’s.

They both have individual health bars and so you shouldaim to reduce both of their HP to about half at the same time. There are two reasons for this, the main one being thatthey can both revive the other once.Due to their attack patterns, we would recommendyou then first focus on killing Wen Chou.

The most important thing to know in this fight is thatboth of them can revive the otheronetime during the fight.

Due to this, you shoulddeal equal damageto them both if you can and thenswitch to burning down one of them.

When you kill one, theother will eventually jump to revive them, bringing them back to half HP, with two buffs and a debuff. The one who isrevived will be weaker than before, so you should focus entirely on killing the one who has just been brought back to life.

This fight could be a problem if you happen to kill Wen Chou first and then Yan Liang. This is because that will trigger both of thembeing revived once each, as opposed to only having one of them be brought back into the fight. Byfocusing on the one who has already been revived, you can effectively cut the time of the battle in half.

Stay close to Wen Chou and try to deflect his heavy slams. Be careful, all of hisoverhead attacks create an AoEwhen they connect with the floor. As mentioned, all of this can be deflected, but the timing can be awkward.

While the above might be easier said than done, you should be able to isolate them from each otherdue to having Followers.

Guan Yu is with you by default, so feel free to bring another along to help out in this fight.

Otherwise, the two of themcover each other extremely wellto the point where it gets difficult to use a Finishing Blow when you get a stance break because the other will be swinging in to help.

With Wen Chou dead for good,Yan Liang will not be able to revive him a second time.Without his friend to back him up, the fight is extremely easy to finish off. As ever, staying inclose range of Yan Liang will be the bestcourse of action.

We recommend staying close becauseYan Liang has several attacks that are leaps and swipes, most of which might just sail over your head as he lunges above you during his attacks. This specific attack consists ofthree jumps and swipes, so keep an eye out for the end of the attack, and take this as your chanceto deal some serious damage.
