Nyx Final Battle Preparation
Nyx is thelast of three battlesyou’ll need to win on1/31to prevent the coming of The Fall, and, as the main antagonist of the game, the battle with Nyx is the hardest fight you’ll have encountered yet.
Recommended Party
We kept the same party for the entirety of the endgame battles:Yukari, Akihiko, and Aigis.
Each of the three were leveled to the point that they wereno longer learning new moves, since their final skills are some of their best.

However, the main point of the final battle is that you ought tobring whoever on your team is strongest. Nyx will absolutely not be pulling punches, and it can attack using every physical or magic type of move.
Whoever is coming with you, it’s best todelegate roles in the party early. For us, we usedYukariprimarily as ahealerwith help from her high-magicGarudyne,Akihikowas great fordebuffsand powerfulZiodyneskill, whileAigiswas primarily onbuffingthe team with the occasionalphysical attackwhen the group was in good shape.

The team is more effective if youvisit the police stationbefore the endgame fights to equip them withaccessories to cancel everyone’s weaknesses.
Giving Nyx as few weak spots to exploitin this fight is the best help you can give yourself.

Regardless of your party setup, your team needs a healer for this fight. Nyx is capable of amassivedamage output, so don’t leave yourself unprepared to heal or revive teammates.
Since this is the last fight and your items don’t carry into a NG+ save file, feel free touse any and all items to healduring the fight.

All party members can use consumable itemson their turns regardless of if they know healing magic, either for themselves or on others.
Recommended Level And Personas
Since you won’t have time to train after taking downJin Shiratoand subsequentlyTakaya Sakakion the way up, you’ll enter the battle with Nyx atwhatever your level was after the fight with Takaya.
Without more time to grind, you need togo into 1/31 absolutely prepared. You’ll earn some EXP for fighting Jin and Takaya, with the option to go back to the Velvet Room before the fight with Nyx.

And with so much on the line in this battle, you’ll do well to bringyour highest-level Personas. Since Nyx has a little bit of everything in its affinities, you’ll need tocover all gaps left by your teammates.
Additionally,Nyx can use every kind of magic and physical move, so the morePersonas with nullifications or resistancesthat you can bring into the battle, the better.

Nyx does not have a weakness in any of its battle stages, so your focus needs to be onavoiding elements it nullifies or drains.
Therefore, any Personas withsevere-level damage movesare your best choice for offensive Personas.
If you managed to fuseOrpheus Telos, now is an excellent time to use it, since itresists all attacks except almighty.
Helelcannot be fused untilLv. 88after you’ve maxed yourStar social link, but if you’ve got access, it’s a great choice, sincePrimal ForceandMorning Starwill both serve you well in outputting damage.
In a similar vein,Lucifercan useBrave BladeandMegidolaonto put the hurt on Nyx in the fight. It’s available beginning atLv. 89following the completion of the Judgment arcana with the Nyx Annihilation Team.
Nyx will do its best to begininflicting status ailments on your team, which will primarily befear, poison, panic, and charm.
You can use your team to dispel this as needed, butbringing Personas with status ailment immunitieswill only serve you well in the coming fight.
The main goal of the Nyx battle in P3P is toadjust your strategies as Nyx’s affinity changes.
Be conscious not to waste moves on skills that won’t work, asthis fight can regularly take upwards of an hourfor players to complete even with a full offensive strategy, depending on difficulty settings and the level of their protagonist.

Arcana Shift
Changes Nyx’s affinities to that of the next arcana in the sequence
This is Nyx’s primary form. The only move it knows in this form isArcana Shift, which it performs immediately, so your time with this stage of the fight will be brief.

Medium fire damage to one foe
Medium fire damage to all foes
Heavy fire damage to one foe
Heavy fire damage to all foes
Heavy almighty damage to all foes
Fire Break
Cancels a foe’s resistance to fire magic and reverts it to normal
Withfire magicat the forefront of this stage, you’ll need toavoid ice-based Personasto keep Nyx from exploiting a weakness.
Avoid usingAgi skillsto keep up your damage output. Be sure you’rebuffing and debuffing consistently, especially during the first few stages of battle.
Bufu

Like the Magician stage, Arcana Priestess will focus on one element, choosingice magicfor this stage.
Proceed like you did with Arcana Magician, avoiding using ice magicin an offensive way and being sure tokeep Personas weak to ice out of battle.
Light wind damage to one foe
Light wind damage to all foes
Medium wind damage to one foe
Medium wind damage to all foes
Heavy wind damage to one foe
Heavy wind damage to all foes

Elec Break
Cancels a foe’s resistance to electric magic and reverts it to normal
The final of our single-element stages, Arcana Emperor uses exclusivelyelectric magic.
Stay away from Zio skillswhile being sure tobraceanyone weak to electricity.
Theteam we recommended abovemay be difficult in this stage, sinceYukari and Aigisare bothweak to electricmagic, andAkihiko’soffensive electric skillswon’t do anythinghere.
If you’re using our recommended party, use this phase tohave everyone healanduse their buff/debuff moves. While they’re keeping the party in top shape, yourMC can be your primary offenseuntil Arcana Emperor goes down.
Medium slash damage to one foe
Cruel Attack
Medium pierce damage to one foe that does 1.5x damage if the foe is downed
Vile Assault
Heavy pierce damage to one foe that does 1.5x damage if the foe is downed
Rebellion
Increases the critical hit rate for every combatant on the field
Revolution
Greatly increases the critical hit rate for every combatant on the field
With not one but two attacks that do additional damage to anyone who’s downed, it’s imperative touse Personas without a pierce weakness.
Even the most careful planning may be negated byRebellionorRevolution, but the good news about those skills is thatthe increase applies to everyone on your teamas well as Nyx.
You’ll get four attacks for every two that Nyx gets, so try to combine this withAigisusingMatarukajato really do some damage to Nyx before it can do the same to you.
Holy Arrow
Light pierce damage to one foe with a 25% chance to inflict charm
40% chance to inflict panic to one foe
40% chance to inflict panic to all foes
40% chance to inflict charm to one foe
In this stage more than ever, you’ll need to focus oncuring status ailments as soon as possible.
Panickedparty members may opt toskip their turnto attack, whilecharmedteammates will eitherattack the partyor evenuse healing spells on Nyxto replenish its HP.
Yukariis the ace in the hole for this stage, since she knows bothMe PatraandCharmdito handle these ailments.
Outside this quirk, Arcana Lovers is all aboutdoing the most damage possiblewithanything but wind magic.
*
Medium strike damage to all foes
Severe strike damage to one foe
The next physical attack will deal double damage
Though not an outright weakness, Arcana Chariottakes 50 percent more damage from elemental magic.
With Nyx getting two moves each turn, Arcana Chariot will spend most of its time castingPower Chargeon its first move, followed immediately byone of its damaging movesto cash in on the boost.
While you may’t do much to protect the party outside ofguardingif someone is low on HP,using a Persona that resists strike damagerenders your MC almost impenetrable in this stage.
