The very last stage of Egg Engines inKirby’s Return To Dream Land Deluxeinvolves a boss fight with the Metal General. This boss has a variety of attacks up its sleeve, many of which can do some decent damage to Kirby’s health if you’re not careful.

The Metal General boss fight has two phases, so you’ll want to be prepared to take on both of them. Once you know its attack patterns and how it will try to take you down, you can use your Copy Ability to give it a taste of its own medicine.
Copy Ability Choices
When you enter this stage, you’ll be taken up to a conveyor belt where you can choose between five Copy Abilities:
The Hi-Jump and Sword are the weakest of these choices, butyou can’t go wrong with Beam, Mecha or Ninja.
Continue right and press the star button. You’ll be taken up a platform to a star door. Go inside tobegin a boss fight with Metal General.
How To Defeat Metal General
First Phase
The Metal General hasa long sword that it will swipe at you rapidly. It may alsoextend the swordin front of its body andcharge at youwith it. As soon as it brings out this sword, jump over the top and behind it.Attack from behindwhile it continues to swing the sword.
It will also jump into the air and stay there whileshooting electricity in multiple directions. Do your best to avoid this and wait for it to stop this attack.
The Metal General also has the ability toshoot rocketsat you. Get close to the boss when it does this and use your Copy Ability to destroy them. You should alsohit the Metal General when destroying the rockets.
Second Phase
When you take out half of the Metal General’s HP, it willbegin to short circuit. Attack while you can, as it will soon produce a large rocket and jump onto it.
It will fly on the rocket in the background and charge in at you.When you see it coming, jump out of the way.
Eventually, theMetal General will crash the rocketon the ground. Keep a safe distance as it willset the ground surrounding it on fire. Wait for the fire to disappear before going in for the attack.
Now, the Metal General willregularly charge at you and throw small projectiles. Make sure to destroy these before they hit you. It will alsocontinue to use its sword just like in the first phase, so avoid this attack and hit it from behind if you can.
After you’ve hit it a few times, it willmake another rocket and repeat the same attacks as before: flying around the back of the arena and charging in to hit you. Wait for it to crash and for the fire to dissipate, thengo in for some more final hits while avoiding its general attacks.
Keep hitting it until you’ve reduced its HP to zero. You’ll automatically be taken back to Magalor’s ship when the battle is over.
