Loss, The Galefeather Boss Fight Guide
Now that you have the complete rundown ofLoss, the Galefeather, let’s go over how you may beat him in combat toget your hands on that excellent double-jump Afterimagethat will dramatically change your movement for the better.
He has access toseven attacks, all of which willhit extremely hard, soensure you have plenty of Healing Itemson hand before attempting this fight. It would also be best to haveGearequipped thatfocuses on raising your Max HP,as it will allow you to stay in the battle longer.

Overall, this encounter isn’t too grueling. You will just have toconstantly be on the move and look out for his more overpowered attacksthat can shave off large chunks of your HP. However, once you know how to deal with them, you will breeze right through them!
Triple Slashes
One of Loss' mostcommon attacksis hisTriple Slashes, which has himperform three strikes in quick successionwith hisLance, covering a vast area in front and around himself with each slash.
This move istelegraphedby Losspointing their Lance downward at an angle brieflybefore he swiftlyswings it upward in an arc-like motion. After that, he willperform another slash. This time it will bea wide swing that travels in front of him and extends all the way behind him.

Then, he willfinish the attack off by plunging his Lance forward with tremendous force and speed. As soon as you see himpoint his Lance downward, begin backdashingto evade the first swing, thenstart backdashing againtododge the second one.
After this, you will have tojump and dash backward to avoid his plunging attack, oryou canpass underneath himto get behind him. Weprefer the latter method, which allows you toland several hits of your own before backing offto prepare for his other attacks.

Linear Gale Discs
Next up is another common attack of Loss', hisLinear Gale Discs, which has himfire off several disc-like projectiles of windthattravel in a straight line horizontallyacross the screen.
Theseprojectiles are launched high in the air,so you canjust walk beneath them and avoid themfine. Take this opportunity torun up to Loss and land several uncontested hitsof your own before creating space to prepare for what’s next.

Sporadic Gale Discs
Another variant of his projectile-based attack is hisSporadic Gale Discs, which has himstack several Gale Discs vertically before launching them forward at slightly different angles.
Like the last one, thesearen’t quite low enough to hit you on the ground,so you canavoid them by simply walking underneath them.Get close to Loss, thenunleash several attacks before retreatingto set up for defense.
Position Reset
If Loss is out of positionfor one of his attacks,he will fly away, disappearing into the skybeforesuddenly reappearing in the middleof the arena. Thiswon’t deal any damage to you unless you run into him, somaintain your position until he comes backinto the arena.
Hewill often use this before using his Triple Slashes or Galefeather Tuft attack, but hecan also do just about any of his other attacks,so be prepared for anything after he flies away.
Galefeather Tuft
Loss willperiodically launch several Gold Feathers into the ground at great speed and at a slight anglein front of himself, stacking several on top of one another.
This move is odd, asyou can simply run behind him as soon as you see him jump into the air, andhe will continue his attack while facing the complete opposite direction. These Galefeathers won’t explode or anything, sofeel free to land several airborne attackson him.
Galefeather Barrage
Unlike the previous Galefeather attack of Loss', this one ismuch harder to evadeas helaunches many Galefeathers from his wings, littering the ground and wallswith Gold Feathers.
Like the last attack, however, these Galefeathers won’t explode or deal damage after they hit the ground,so you canstand in a safe area and evade damagealtogether.
However,if you have the HP to spare, you cantake a hit of one of the Galefeathers and use your Invincibility Frames to land several attackson Loss if you don’t just stand in an area where the Galefeathers aren’t landing and wait out the attack.
Ride The Wind
Lastly, we have hisRide the Windattack, which has himquickly Dash across the screen with his Lance pointed outwardin front of him, turning himself into a speeding projectile and dealingmassive damageon contact.
This move istelegraphedbyLoss holding his Lance out in front of himself and channeling the wind. You willsee wind start to gather at the opposite end of the stage, straight ahead of Loss and directly behind you.
After a short period, Loss will Dash forwardto carry out the attack. To evade this attack,Slide underneath Loss as he Dashes forward, placing you behind him. You can thenrun behind him and get a few hits inbefore backing off.
