The island of Undvik easily ranks somewhere at the top ofThe Witcher 3’smost desolate locations. Having been depopulated by an ice giant not long before Geralt’s arrival, the landscape is a mess of destroyed villages and the bodies of its former inhabitants.

Thanks to the speed at which it was relieved of its population, Undvik’s many ruined buildings still have the valuables left by their owners. In the aptly-named side quest, Treasure Hunt: Ruins, Hidden Treasure, You Know…, Geralt can find a cache left in the town of Dorve. We’ve got instructions for finding the loot if the hastily-drawn map is lacking in details.

Starting Treasure Hunt: Ruins, Hidden Treasure, You Know…

This treasure hunt starts after you inspecta pile of bones near the Dorve Ruins Fast Travel point.Geralt will finda map and a keyon the remains, pointing him to a nearby tower.

Be prepared fora wraith appearingafter you take the map and key. While you could kill it as any good witcher would, you canavoid the fightby running away from it. If you are fast enough, it will not attack.

While at Dorve, be ready for other monsters. The town’s empty buildings now housea large population of devourersthat are likely to attack Geralt as passes through. They can be deceptively dangerous and should not be underestimated.

Following The Map

The quest will update, placing a map markeron a tower on the other side of town.Apair of sirensthat have recently made their home within will attack you once you are close enough. Dispatch both fliers before entering the building.

Once inside, climb the ladder to the second floorand walk over the nest. The treasure chest ison the other side, ready to be plundered. The quest will end after you empty it out.
