In Treasure Hunt: Family Fortune, Geralt can find his way to a sunken vessel just off the coast of Ard Skellig. He finds the first clue at the Ruined Inn, leading him out to the ship and the treasure. If you need a rapid cash injection and are in Skellige, this guide will get you to the loot.
Starting Treasure Hunt: Family Fortune
The note starting this quest is found ina destroyed house by the coastat theRuined Inn Fast Travel point.This location, to the east of Fyresdal, has been abandoned thanks to aninfestation of sirens.
While not mandatory, you should try tokill the sirensanddestroy their nestboth for your safety and for the reward earned by doing so.

Ruined Inn is also home to the diagram fortheBear Steel Sword.It is in the charred ruins that used to be the inn, down the stairs and guarded by wraiths. You might as well get it while you’re here.
When you are ready, you cansearch the housefor a letter next to a dead body. Reading it will start the quest.
Getting The Sunken Treasure
Considering that the treasure is on a ship, the wisest course of action would be tograb a nearby boat and sail for the objective.You could swim, but it’ll take much longer.
You will beattacked by sirensas you sail. While tempting to get off the boat to fight back, it’s safest tostay on the boatandshoot with your crossbow.The weapon deals more damage when seated or swimming, naturally.
Once you are at the wreck, dive to the sunken part of the ship and look out for a lone chest.Opening it will end the quest.
