In the quest The Sad Tale of the Grossbart Brothers, you can team up with a more conventional bounty hunter, Djenge Frett, as he searches Skellige for his prey.

This quest can be started in two different ways and has several endings and can be failed by choosing the wrong dialogue option. Should you need a hand with getting an acceptable outcome to this quest, this guide will help you.

You can start this quest throughtwo triggers.The first would be tofind Djenge Frett at Blandare,a town at the center of Ard Skellige. The other would be toreach Grotto,the partially submerged cave where the Grossbart Brothers reside.

Stumbling across the brothers is easier than you may expect. The diagram forEnhanced Bear Armorshares its home with the criminals, possibly having you encounter them as you search for equipment.

If you enjoy understanding why you fight your enemies,talking to Djenge Frettwill give you useful context for the quest. The man claims to be a renowned bounty hunter, seeking the Grossbart Brothers. They are wanted criminals guilty of arson, murder, and worse.

Djenge will ask Geralt to join himat the end of the conversation. You will part ways regardless, with a quest marker leading you to the brothers. You willencounter Djenge again at Grotto.

Claiming The Bounty

While the quest will be completed bykilling the three brothers,there are some differences in execution depending onhow you interact with Djenge.

At Grotto, Djenge willask if Geralt had come to help him.If youagree, the two of you willattack the brothers together,ideally emerging victorious and alive. You will receive50 crownsfor your help.

If youdo not help Djenge,or if the bounty hunterdies, you willfail the questand will not receive a reward.

Djenge can die quickly,especially at higher difficulties. You may have to babysit him throughout the fight to complete the quest.

If you hadkilled the brothersbefore talking to Djenge, you cancomplete the quest by talking to him.You will receive asmaller reward of20 crowns,but will not have to keep him alive.
