Tails of Ironis an action role-playing game in which you play a young rat Prince named Redgi. You’ll need to protect the kingdom from the invasions of frogs after the death of your father, the King. During your journey as Redgi, you will also have to save the chefand repair the kitchen to get some food.

Eating different food will increase your maximum health in the game and make the rest of the journey much easier. Here is all you need to know about completing the Chef’s Book in Tails of Iron.

Fixing The Kitchen

To acquire all the ingredients and complete the Chef’s Book, you will need to first progress through the story.

As you do, you will come to save several NPCs, like the cook and the smithy, from the frogs.

After that, the chef will ask you to give8 Goldto repair the Kitchen.The only way to acquire gold is to complete posted missions at the Ranger’s Faction.

These missions will have youexploring theSewers –which are locatedbeneathLongTail Village –and clearing out the infestations inside.

Once the Kitchen has been restored, you can bring ingredients to the chef for him to make you some food.

Where To Find The Ingredients

There arefour meals that you can eat.For each Meal,there are three ingredients that you must first find and bring to the chef.

Acquiring all four Recipes will complete the Chef’s Bookand get you the “Complete the Chef’s Book"trophy.

Remember that bringing the Ingredients back to the Chef is important to craft the Recipe and for Redgi to eat the meal, increasing his maximum health.

Root And Berries

The three ingredients for the first meal are

This Recipe is a part of the story, so you do not have to worry about missing it.

Root is located in thecellar below the Kitchen. It is thefirst interactable item in the cellar.

Berries

Berries are locatedinside the cellar beneath the Kitchen. You will spot thebard sitting with crates of berries,talk to him, and you will get the Berries.

Water

Water is located at theend of the cellar below the Kitchen.Interact with the Water Barrelto acquire it.

Mushroom Burger

The three ingredients for the second meal are

You mustcomplete this meal as part of the story,so you will not miss this.

You can purchase Bread from theMerchantinLongTail Villagefor20Monster Parts.

Mushroom

Mushroom is another ingredient you canpurchase from the Merchant in LongTail Village for 20 Monster Parts.

Cowgrub Milk

You will find afemale Rat in the LongTail Villagenear the Shop. Talk to her and make your way righttowards the Mill, where you will find theCowgrub surrounded byMozis.

Kill the Mozis, and the farmer Rat will milk the Cowgrub to get you the Milk.

The three ingredients for the third meal are:

Cheese

Cheese is located inside theStatue room in theCrypts, lying ontop of a pedestal towards the left side of the room.

To reach the Statue room, you mustprogress through the story to the point where the bard takes you to the room.

Bug Leg

For the Bug Leg, you must first talk to aHunterinRanger’s Lodgewho needs a compass.

You canacquire the compass from a Rat outside the Merchant in LongTail Village for 20 Monster Parts.Give the compass to the Hunter to receive the Bug Leg.

Honey

You must first talk to theFarmer outside the Mill who needs Paint and Wooden Planks for the Honey.The Paint can be acquired forthreeIron Orefrom theMerchant in LongTail Village.

For theWooden Planks,make your way left of LongTail Village towards the Mines. Here you will come across aWoodcutterwho can provide somePlanks for 20 Monster Parts.

Once you have both items, return outside the Mill and talk to the Farmer. The Farmer will give you Honey as a reward.

The three ingredients for the fourth meal are:

Lettuce

For theLettuce, you will need tohead to the depths of the Mineand go eastto find thelettuce lying on the ground.

Crispbugs

For theCrispbugs,you will need to talk to the Mole in the middle of Moletown. He will ask you toget him some Oil.

To acquire Oil, you must go to thedepths of Moletown and take the elevator to the east.Bring back the Oil to the Mole once you acquire it,and you will be rewarded with Crispbugs.
