The wondrous world of Tiny Tina wouldn’t be quite so wondrous if there wasn’t plenty of adventuring to be had. Thankfully, Tina sets her players up with the most humorous and whimsical side quests a Borderlands spin-off can offer.

One such quest inTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsis the Raiders of the Lost Shark. Despite the familiarity, it’s clear now that you won’t find a Biblical face-melting chest at the end of this road, but a sea god shark named Chumberlee and her minions.

How To Begin The Quest

In theDumpstat Trenchregion of theWartooth Shallows, you will findJoyful Roycasually biding his time next to a shark statue. The quest begins earnestly enough as ol' Roy asks you to help him retrieve his lost pearls at the shipwreck of Carol Anne. What he doesn’t tell you is that he stole these pearls from a sea god known as Chumberlee who cursed him and his crew.

Enemies You’ll Encounter

This mission is chock-full of a range of Seawargs of all types. Most them are susceptible to fire elemental weapons given that they are fleshy critters.

Finding The Wreckage Of The Carol Anne And The First Pearl

The wreckage and first pearl aren’t too far from Joyful Roy’s location. In fact, it’s just a quick jauntfurther down within the same cavern he occupies. You’ll inevitably encounter plenty of Seawargs even in this short walk. However, Roy’s compatriots who are labeled as Joyful Roy Mateys will be present helping you fight the Seawargs and ultimately being a decent distraction.

Once you arrive at the waypoint, you’ll unlock the new area for the wreckage of theCarol Anne. The first pearl is inside a chest on a wood platform overlooking the wreckage site. Simply open up the chest, claim the pearl, and begin the next objective of locating the three other pearls scattered throughout the wreckage.

Finding The Lost Pearls

From the location of the first pearl, hop down into the skirmish you see going on between Seawargs and Joyful Roy Mateys. Aid them if you like, but you’llfind thenext pearl on a wooden platform in the middle of it(see the screenshot below). Just open the chest and claim the prize. Be wary that in this area is typically where the Embereater, Thundereater, andBashspawn.

Continue to the north side of the area, where you’ll see an anchor hanging. It’s actually blocking a gap that you can jump across. You’ll notice that the chain it dangles from is highlighted red, meaning you can shoot it. Do so, and the way will be clear for you to jump across. Of course, fight your way through the Seawargs. You’ll likely encounterCrashhere.

Joyful Roy

Thenfollow the path aroundthat includes a wooden board heading up to another platform. Then jump to an area with new respawn point.

From here, you’ll find a piece of the wrecked ship in the middle of a battle between more Seawargs and Joyful Roy Mateys. Battle if you must, then rushinside the wreckage to find a chest with the next pearl.

Then head toward the planks connecting to the major part of the ship wreckage. Inside will be passive Joyful Roy Mateys, no enemies. Thetreasure chest with the final pearlis located on the upper deck.

Returning To Joyful Roy

You then need to make your way back to Joyful Roy. Once you talk to him, you’ll hear Chumberlee interject and make an offer for the pearls. So, now you have a decision to make. Will give the pearls to Joyful Roy or Chumberlee?

Whoever you give them to, you will have to find the other individual in amini boss battle.

Battling Chumberlee

The sea god is really quite wimpy.Fireworks nicely here. She behaves the same as aTitantoothwith the exception that she has significantly more health. This fight should be rather easy.

Battling Joyful Roy

If you decided to stab Joyful Roy in the back, he’ll become enraged and battle you to the death. He’ll use lightning attacksmuch like other skeleton mages and have the stamina of a badass class skeleton. Being a skeleton,he doesn’t really have an elemental weakness, so large yields such as explosive weaponry is the best bet.
