Geralt’s most prominent romantic interests inThe Witcher 3are pursued in long, drawn-out storylines that are heavily influenced by your decisions. While satisfying, you may prefer something shorter-term and less committed, like the quest Iron Maiden. This short story is a Skellige-style romance, needing Geralt to prove himself to a fierce maiden.

Facing her in a duel isn’t something that just anyone can do. Many men have tried and all have failed. Geralt must succeed where they did not, and overcome the trial she gives him. There is no shame in turning to this guide. It’s not like she’ll find out, anyway.
Where To Start Iron Maiden
The woman in question isJutta an Dimun,on a hilleast of Harviken,on the island of Faroe. She makes a strong impression, being in the midst of beating the daylights out of a challenger in front of a large crowd.
You will pass through Faroe and, likely, Harviken during the questFollowing the Threadthat will have you traveling to the nearby town of Trottheim.

Geralt will step forward, eager to test his mettle. Unfortunately, she will not fight just anyone. Geralt will need to complete a trial of her choosing todemonstrate that he is worth fighting.
You can skip the trial bycompleting Fists of Fury: Skellige. That quest is challenging enough to warrant Geralt’s immediate entry to the arena.

Defeating Gundar
In what is possiblythe easier trial,Geralt will need to fight a previous contestant, Gundar. He will be waiting in an arenain Harviken, where you will face him.
This duelhas an extra rule;the first person to be pushed out of the ring loses.Pay extra attention to your positioning and take care that youdo not accidentally roll out of the ring.

The rule can work in your favor.Subject Gundar to a flurry of Fast Attacks. He will be forced back a step after each hit. Awell-timed parrycan also send him stumbling backwards as well. With some careful positioning, he will bepushed out of the ring.
Go back to Jutta after beating Gundar, to challenge her.
Where To Find Horned Hoskuld’s Sword
The other challengehas Geralt findHorned Hoskuld’s Sword,a legendary weapon stuck in asunken chest off the coast of Faroe.
This challenge is similar to a treasure hunt. You will need to finda shipwreckbetween Faroe and a small isletto the west, sunken deep beneath the waves.

You can use Geralt’sWitcher Senses to highlight nearby chests, making the one containing the swordvisible from the shore. It will have ared outline, like other quest-specific chests. Make sure tohelp yourself to the other chests, to make this trip especially worthwhile.
Be wary of the ekhidna. Not only are theydangerous monsters, but they can also prevent you from opening the chest byforcing Geralt into combat. If possible, shoot them when submerged.

Geralt’s crossbow will deal significantly more damage when fired underwater, potentially killing ekhidna instantly.
Bring the sunken sword out of the lake and back to Jutta to earn her respect andface her in battle.
You cancollect the swordbefore starting the quest, skipping this stage. you’re able to also use it as asteel sword,if you are so inclined. It’s not particularly impressive, though it does havearmor piercing.
One-on-one With Jutta
With your worthiness established, Jutta willbattle Geraltin a duel. She isa tougher swordswomanthat uses the same attacks but sports more health and a meaner hit.
You haveone chance to win.Lose andthe quest will fail.
Given that this isa matter of honor, you will be disqualified andfail the questif you useanything other than your sword.
Focus onparrying herand avoiding her attacks. This fight should be a simple affair, though much of your arsenal would be unavailable.
She willsurrender after taking enough hits, acknowledging Geralt as the winner. After congratulating him, she suggestsvisiting her home at night.
You willfail the quest if you do not visither home.
Having earned her respect, Jutta explains why she has been fighting. Sheswore to Freya that she will only marry the man who beat herand bear his children. Unfortunately, she was beaten by the wrong man. Like all witchers, Geralt is sterile andcannot have children. He’s also not particularly interested in marriage.
That said, he wouldsleep with her, should you desire. Otherwise, they will simply talk the night away. The quest willend after the cutscene.
Do not worry, neither Yennefer nor Trisscare about this encounter. Your romance with either of them will be unaffected.
