When exploring the western side of Ard Skellig, the largest island inThe Witcher 3region of Skellige, you might come across a house besieged by bandits. While this encounter is not a prelude to a long and thought-provoking storyline, it still adds some depth to the game and lets you witness the darker side of Skellige’s culture.

The hardest part of this quest, Armed Assault, is finding it. As a short and unmarked quest, a marker will not appear on the location. Instead, you will need to find the quest’s location yourself or read a helpful guide from TheGamer.

How To Start Armed Assault

Armed Assault takes place around a lone house between the towns of Rannvaig and Boxholm, in the western part of Ard Skellig. You will have to take theeast road out of Rannvaig,and turnsouthat the first opportunity.

Turn east again, and follow the road to the end. There, you will see a trio of armed Skelligers trying tobreak into a house.This gang willimmediately attack Geralt,not giving any opportunity to talk. You will have to kill them.

Killing The Bandits

The trio consists oftwo equipped with swordsand a thirdusing a spear.If you have gotten familiar with the game’s combat, this encounter should be simple. The sword-wielding bandits should go down without too much trouble while the spear-equipped banditwill be tougher.

The spear-using bandit uses his weapon bythrusting the weapon at Geralt.It isdifficult to parryand has an annoyingly long reach. The safest way to deal with him would be tocast Axiito momentarily stun him before dealing damage.

Knock on the doorafter killing the bandits. The elderly resident willthank Geraltfor his help. You can ask him about how he will deal with Lugos sending men after him or depart. Either way,the quest ends here,with no significant reward.

You canfind a letter on a bandit’s body.Written by Lugos, it accuses the resident’s son ofstealing treasure from Lugos,explaining the attempted murder.
