Flying Pokemon have been a staple of the Pokemon series for a while, but many with the type don’t actually fly around in the sky. With newer games in the franchise, many Pokemon can now be seen flying around the overworld. This holds true inPokemon Legends: Arceus, where you’re able to find several Pokemon that are just out of reach.

A normal Pokeball has a catch rate of .75, whilea Feather Ball has a catch rate of .5 when not catching a flying Pokemon. If you do use a Feather Ball on a flying Pokemon, thenthe catch rate is increased to 1.25,which is quite a large increase.

Using a Jet Ball against a flying Pokemon willincrease the catch rate to a whopping 2.75, making it the best choice.

How To Catch A Flying Pokemon

As mentioned above, there areeight flying Pokemonthat you can catch, which are listed below.

These flying Pokemon haveflight patterns that you will need to pay attention to.For example, a Hisuian Braviary will not just hover in the same spot. More often than not, the Braviary will fly in a loop that can be tracked.

Before throwing a Feather Ball, watch the way the Pokemon in question flies. The ball will take some time to reach the Pokemon, especially if they are further away. You will want toanticipate the Pokemon’s movement and aim slightly ahead of where they currently are.

When doing this, the ball will fly through the air and hit the Pokemon when they cross its path. Of course, this does not guarantee capture, soit’s important to have other balls ready to throw immediately.
