BothJunpeiandKenhave alright magic attacks, but their real attraction for this fight is theirresistance to light magic, as Sleeping Table can and routinely will try to one-shot kill your teammates usingHamaon.

While they’llstill take normal damage, removing two options for insta-kill moves is definitely recommended for this famously difficult fight.
Additionally,Junpeicanbuff the teamagainst Sleeping Table’s attacks, whileKenlearnsMediaramaatLv. 37to keep the team’s HP topped off alongside Yukari.

Recommended Level And Personas
Sleeping Table is aLv. 50shadow, so we recommend being aroundLvs. 45before taking on this fight. It’s a doozy, so don’t go in unprepared.
As for which Persona you ought to bring, you’ll want to have someoneresistant or immune to fire and/or light magic.

Additionally, it may help to bringSaki Mitama, who isresistant to fireand also agood healer Persona. It may help if you have your protagonist and Yukari heal while Junpei and Ken lay into Sleeping Table.
The battle is over instantly if your protagonist goes down, so it doesn’t hurt to stock up on a fewHomonculousitems beforehand to save you from one light or dark insta-kill.
Saki Mitama does not have a bless immunity, so be careful of one-hit kills by Hamaon if you’re using it.

Sleeping Table Battle Strategy
One of the biggest problems you’ll face in this battle is the one-two punch that Sleeping Table can use of casting X, followed byGhastly Wail.
The follow-up move willone-shot kill anyone afflicted with fear, so be quick with usingMe Patraor the gems with the same effect, so as not to leave someone fearful and ready for a brutal attack.
The other issue isMegidola, an almighty move that there’s no real, effective way to block.
The only thing you can do to counter it israise the party’s defenseand thenheal immediatelyafter it hits, as it’ll likely do atonof damage.
While we do recommend bringing Junpei into the fight, know ahead of time thatJunpei’s actual attacks won’t do much damage. However, he’s more likely to land a critical hit, which can trigger an all-out attack for your team.
Yourall-out attackcan knock downroughly a third of Sleeping Table’s HPin one hit, so take this opportunity if you can!
One way to kind of exploit Sleeping Table’s ability to be downed by critical hits is to bring a Persona that knowsRevolution. This moveboosts the crit rate of everyone on the field, Sleeping Table included.
Be mindful thatSleeping Table will also get this boost, though, and raise your team’s defense in kind.
The majority of the battle will probably be spent healing just as much as you’re hurting Sleeping Table, but keep the team in good shape, and you’ll have taken out this famously tough guardian in no time.
