In 2022,Pokemon GointroducedElite Raids, putting a challenging spin on their popular Raiding feature. Previously, there was only one Pokemon that could appear in this type of Raid, Hoopa Unbound, but this season they have introduced two new Elite Raid Pokemon.

The first of these two Pokemon isRegidrago,the Dragon-type Legendary Titan that was first introduced in Pokemon’s eighth generation. This will be a tough PvE encounter without a doubt, so here are the best strategies to use for this specific Raid battle.
Recommended Group Size
Like withother Elite Raids,putting together a group will require some degree of coordination,disabling the use of Remote Raid Passesfor this specific type of Raid. Luckily, Regidrago is not the toughest opponent, meaning that it won’t require you to go into it with an extremely large group of players.
For this Raid, it’s best if you attempt it with agroup size of three to five players,again, all needing to be there in person for this Elite Raid. Additionally, you will want to make sure that all members of your Raid team are using strong Pokemon that counter Regidrago, due to the lack of a damage bonus that is typically provided to players who are raiding remotely.
Due to the potential difficulty of getting together a large, in-person group for this Raid, the use of theMega EvolutionandPrimal Reversionmechanic is a must.
This will provide your Raid team with additional damage in this battle, applying adamage increase to certain attacksdepending on which Pokemon you and your allies have Mega Evolved or Primal Reverted.
Regidrago: Strengths And Weaknesses
Being a pure Dragon-typd, there are specific types that Regidrago is strong and weak against. With this Raid Pokemon possessing a significant amount of HP, it’s important to take advantage of Regidrago’s vulnerabilities,Dragon, Fairy, and Ice-type attacks.Attacks of these types will deal significantly more damage than those of other types, proving to be the most effective attack types for this Elite Raid.
Now it’s time to discuss the attack types that you’ll want to avoid using against Regidrago. It possesses four different resistances in battle, toFire, Water, Grass, and Electric-type attacks.Due to these types of attacks dealing reduced damage against Regidrago, avoid using Pokemon that attack with any of them.
To further increase your overall effectiveness in this Raid, make sure to put together a team of Pokemon that benefit fromSame Type Attack Bonusif possible.
To do this, ensure you are usingPokemon that have attacks that match their type,increasing the damage of these attacks as a result.

When building your team of six Pokemon for this Elite Raid, you will want to verify that itconsists of mainly Dragon, Fairy, and Ice-type Pokemon.These Pokemon will most likely possess attacks that match their types, not only benefiting from using attacks that Regidrago is weak against, but also benefiting from the Same Type Attack Bonus mechanic.
