Mega Charizard Y’s Mega Raid proves to befar easier than others currently in the game,allowing you to successfully complete it with a much smaller group size. For this specific Mega Raid, it’s estimated that you can defeat Mega Charizard Y with agroup of two to four Trainers.
Additionally, with this Mega Raid being less difficult than others, it can be completed with the inclusion of lower-leveled Trainers, something that isn’t always possible with some of the hard Raids in the game. On top of this, this will allowmore flexibility when it comes to which Pokemon you chooseto battle with, as it is not crucial that you’re using the top-tier Mega Charizard Y counters to successfully complete this Raid.
Although this proves to be an easier Mega Raid compared to others, you can increase your chances of success by eitherMega EvolvingorPrimal Revertingone of the Pokemon in your Raid party.
This willincrease the damage of certain types of attacksdepending on which Pokemon is Mega Evolved/Primal Reverted. This bonus applies toall players on your Raid team.
Mega Charizard Y: Strengths And Weaknesses
Mega Charizard Y is a Fire and Flying dual-type Pokemon. To give you an edge in this Raid battle, you’ll definitely want to take advantage of this Pokemon’s three main weaknesses:Rock, Water, and Electric-type attacks.That being said, Rock-type attacks are preferred for this encounter, as Mega Charizard Y isdouble-weak to this type of attack.
There are, unfortunately,seven different types of attacks that this Pokemon is resistant to. For this reason, it’s best to avoid battling with Pokemon that have eitherGround, Fighting, Steel, Fire, Fairy, Bug, and Grass-type attacks.Attacks of these types will deal far less damage to Mega Charizard Y compared to those of other types.
