As one of your final battles in Persona 4 Golden, it’s tough to make a precise party recommendation, as you’ll need to bringwhoever is strongest, being sure to have onehealerto counteract how much damage Adachi can do.

We usedKanji, Yosuke, and Yukiko.

While we recommended Naoto for use inside Magatsu Inaba itself,Adachi cannot be impacted by the light and dark skills that made her a good choice there.

Swap her for Yosukebefore the boss battle, and you’ll be good to go.

Be sure you’ve beenriding bikeswith your Investigation Team friends, as they’lllearn skills they wouldn’t otherwise.

You won’t be able to change your party out before the next fight,so we had to take that battle into account with our party setup as well as Adachi.

Adachi takes reduced damage from physical attacks, sosave Kanji and Yosuke physical damageimpressive moves for the second stage. It’s a large part of why we picked them, butphysical attacks aren’t helpful here.

When you fight Adachi, he’s Lv. 73. Accordingly, we’d recommend training to at leastLv. 75 or higherfor the easiest time in the fight.

Yoshitsuneis one of the best choices in your roster for this fight. You can fuse it beginning atLv. 75.

Not only does itblock physical damage, but at Lv. 78, Yoshitsune also learnsRepel Elec. With Adachi using both single and multi-target Zio moves, this immunity will be invaluable for your MC.

Yoshitsune’sphysical damage outputwill be critical for the second part of the fight.

Outside Yoshitsune,Trumpeteris also a fan-favorite for this fight for a number of reasons.

One of its best moves isDebilitate, whichdecreases a foe’s attack, defense, and evasionfor three turns in just one move. Additionally, it has the inverse of this withHeat Riser, toboost your team’s attack, defense, and evasionfor three turns.

Megidolaonwill surely come in handy withsevere almighty damageas well, especially withElec AmpandZiodyneto continue the offense.

In terms of its own affinities, as well ashaving no weaknesses, it’s also helpful thatTrumpeter repels electric magic. Make Adachi hurt himself for you this way when he tries using his Zio skills.

Mastermind Battle Strategy

For as frustrating as it may be for players who aren’t over-leveled, the battle with Adachi isrelatively straightforward, without any tricks or careful strategizing to worry much about.

The biggest threat in the fight comes from hispenchant for inflicting status ailmentsto the Investigation Team.

Fearmeans your teammates may choose todo nothingon their turn. Meanwhile, silencenot onlyhalves their stats, it also means they’ll also beunable to use skills.

This is just one of the reasons we recommended bringingYukiko, sinceMe Patracan cancel fear for the party, whileSalvationis helpful if the whole party is inflicted withanyailment.

Whichever social links have reached Rank 5 of their arcana progression, they’ll learn the perkRecover. This allows them to occasionallycure one another of status ailmentsduring battle.

Be sure you’ve worked on the social link of every teammate you intend to bring, for this reason alone if not for their other perks.

Not only will Adachi do his best to inflict status ailments, he’s also a pain when it comes tohis stat-boosting or canceling moves.

Heat Riserwill make him hit harder and harder for you to hit.Dekundais able to cancel any debuff move you use, whileDekajais able to erase the same buffs on your team as well.

That said, these moves do no damage to your team directly, somaking him waste a turn on these movesmay be frustrating, but it can be worth it to save the team from direct incoming damage.

From there, it’s simply a matter of taking Adachi down. Be mindful of your HP and SP when Adachi is running low on HP, asthere’s a second stage to this battle, and youwill not have time to heal before it begins.

InstructingYukikoto cast one of herhealing spells just before Adachi goes downcan help the team out greatly in the next stage of the fight.
