But Takaya is stronger the second time you fight him in P3P, and he won’t go down without a fight with so much on the line. Follow along with our guide for help with Takaya’s rematch in P3P.
Takaya’s Final Battle Setup
Recommended Party
As you move into the endgame to face thestrongest story bosseswhose damage output is massive, you’ll likely have leveled a few of the SEES members more than others.
We focused onYukari, Akihiko, and Aigisfor the endgame battles in P3P, each leveled to the point that they wereno longer learning new moves.

Yukariis not only a greathealer, but her high magic stat means herGarudynehits especially hard. As forAigis, not only can shebuff the team, but herphysical attacksare some of the strongest.
Akihikonot only has soliddebuffingmoves, but hismagicand strength bothpack a meaningful punch, making him an offensive powerhouse as well. Not only that, but it gives a mourning Akihiko a chance toget some well-deserved revenge.

Recommended Level And Personas
Takaya is nowLv. 75when you fight him this time, but without time to train after the battle with Jin on your way up to Takaya, you’ll enter the battle against the leader of the group atwhatever level you were after the battle with Jin.
However, before you go upstairs to deal with Takaya, you’ll have a chance toreturn to the entranceof Tartarus, where you may still visit the Velvet Room if you’d like to fuse or withdraw Personas.

We recommended bringingMichaelandSandalphonfor the battle with Jin, and they’re both great options here as well.
Without a weakness to exploit, your battle with Takaya in P3P is mostly aboutcovering your defenseswell enough to beat him down.Sandalphon has no weaknesses, meaning Takaya can’t score One More attack off exploiting them for your MC.
Takaya’s Affinities On 1/31
Unlike Jin, Takaya has only learned a handful of new moves when you fight him again in January on your way up to the final battle.
However, those moves are meaningful ones - now, Takaya also has access to betteralmighty magicthat’s near impossible to block, as well asinsta-kill movesthat pose a serious threat.

Takaya Sakaki Final Battle Strategy
Without a weakness on Takaya that you’re able to exploit, the bulk of this fight is largely aboutcovering your own weak spotswhile simultaneouslylaying into Takaya with your strongest attacks.
The biggest base you’ll want to cover defensively isyour team’s weaknesses to light and dark magic, since Takaya has two separate insta-kill moves that can pose a serious problem if your protagonist goes down.
If you’re deviating from our recommended Personas from above,be sure you don’t have light or dark weaknesses. You can revive teammates easily enough, especially with the lineup we used for the fight, but your protagonist going down can end the battle immediately depending on your play settings.
The only elements you’ll want to outrightavoidwith Takaya are also, coincidentally, light and dark. SinceTakaya repels light and nullifies darkness, the only character you stand to hurt with those moves is yourself, depending on your own Persona’s affinities.
For this rematch, Takaya has a whopping7,000 HP, so you’ll need to be sure touse your strongest offensive attacks.
UseAigis and Akihikoto change the stats of everyone on the battlefield, while bothAigis and Yukariwill knowSamerecarmto undo any KO’s Takaya may get on your team, while youhave everyone doing damagewith their heaviest moves.
You’ll auto-heal after some lengthy dialogue with Takaya after he’s gone down, so step over him andhead on upstairswhen you’re ready for Persona 3 Portable’s ultimate battle.
