During the final section of the game, you’ll fly through space on one of the Landia dragons, then face off with Magalor. There are a few stages to this final boss fight, so we’ll take you through every one of them.
Flying With Landia
First Section
Before taking on the final boss, Kirby will ride on one of the Landia dragons and fly across space. During this, you’ll need toshoot fire ahead of you to attack incoming enemies. you’re able to also charge at them to attack them.
The very first part is in open space, but you’ll soon enter an area withlava-covered walls above, below, and around you. Navigate this so you don’t crash.

Soon, you’ll come across moving platforms ahead of you.Hang back until they separateand give you an opening to pass through. Do the same for the moving platforms beyond this.
As you move through the platforms, you’ll seea Life-Up in an alcove above you. You’ll need to fly up there and then move backward to grab it.

Attack the three large enemiesthat appear when you exit the area surrounded by lava platforms. Landia will transport you to another area.
Second Section
Dodge the incoming spiked objects. Attacking them won’t destroy them in time. Attack the incoming enemies, and when you see the moving platforms again, hang back until they moveand leave a gap for you to pass through.
Here, more spiked objects fall from the sky.Maneuver through these while attacking the enemies.

Ahead, you’ll see an enemy in front of a star button on a platform. Destroy the enemy and hit the star button. Do the same for the next few of these. Keep going through the moving platforms when there’s space for you to pass.
As you exit here, there are huge versions of the spiked objects you passed before.Fly towards the top of the screen and wait for it to move down before continuing. There are more of these past it, so find the safe gap before passing through. Landia will fly you to another area to the end, where you’ll see a cutscene of Magalor.

How To Defeat Lor & Magalor
First Phase
You can’t hit Magalor in this fight, soaim for the Lor Starcutter.
The Lor Starcutter will begin by shooting stars at you. Fly with Landia toavoid these and hit it with fireballs. It will also throw its wing at you, sododge this when it comes at you.

Magalor will conjure oars to throw at you in a row. These will home in on you, solet them come closer to you, then fly out of the way.
Additionally, Magalor willmake the Lor Starcutter’s mast shoot gusts of wind directly ahead. Move out of the way as soon as you see the wind form andfly behind the ship to avoid it.

Keep dodging the attacks andshoot fireballs at the ship continually. When you take down half of their HP, the ship will crash.
Second Phase
The Lor Starcutter will stop for a few seconds here, soget in as many hits as you’re able to. It will then start to shoot balls of energy at you. Dodge these.
After this, the ship will protect itself with a shield and begin to attack you from behind. You can’t attack it from this angle, so focus on dodging the attacksit throws at you. When it’s finished, it will fly back around to the front, where you can start attacking it again.

Magalor will make the mast produce wind tornados again, but this timethe ship will spin around, shooting the attack as it goes. Follow the attack around clockwise and attack the ship.
Magalor makes the ship use many of the same attacks from here on out, sokeep your fireballs going and dodge as many of the incoming attacksas you can.

When the ship goes down, your HP will fully restore and a cutscene will playbefore you take on Magalor himself.
How To Defeat Magalor
You’ll be transported to a room with a huge range of Copy Ability Choices:
At the end, there’s also a randomized option, which can only be chosen once. Interact with this to see what you receive before choosing.

Out of the standard options,Mecha is objectively the best choice. It allows you to fly easily and offers great attack options.
Choose your Copy Ability and head through the star door to the right for the final boss fight of the game.

Magalor summons balls of dark energy that he throws at you. You candestroy these with a Copy Ability or dodge themcompletely.
Magalor can also make spikes shoot up from the bottom of the arena. You can see where they’ll shoot up bylooking for the purple pools of liquid on the floor. Make sure to dodge these when they appear, asthey can knock your Copy Ability off you.
The boss will oftenhead to the back of the stage and shoot attacks forward. Watch their direction and avoid where they’re going to make impact.
When Magalor starts to spin balls of dark energy in his hands, attack these so he doesn’t have the chance to throw themat you. Otherwise, you’ll need to dodge.
Occasionally, Magalor willsummon a star portal, through which small Sphere Doomers will appear. Attack these when they charge at you or jump to avoid them. They’ll disappear when they fly off the edge of the screen.
When you’ve reduced Magalor’s health by half, he willsummon a star portal that tries to suck you in. Fly towards the edge of the arena to avoid being taken in.
When Magalor flies to the edge of the arena, he willstart to shoot a huge beam of light. Fly or jump to avoid this. If you get caught in it, you’ll get stuck and take a considerable amount of damage.
Magalor repeats some attacks from the first phase as well, mostly sending attacks from the back of the arena and shooting balls of dark energy.Continue avoiding these and destroying the balls of dark energyas soon as they appear.
Third Phase
Once you’ve depleted all of Magalor’s health, he willshield himself with another health bar and a star-shaped shield. He’ll summon star portals that enemies come out of.Look for the enemy with the Super Abilityand take it from them.
Use the Super Ability whenever Magalor teleports onto the main area. If he’s in the back of the arena, the attack won’t hit him. However, you can stilluse the Super Ability to attack any normal enemieshe summons and destroy the balls of energy he sends to you.
He’ll teleport away after you’ve hit him once, sowait for him to teleport to you and use the Super Ability again. He’ll break the Super Ability after this, soyou’ll need to look for the next one.
Grab the Super Ability from the next lot of enemies he summons, anduse it when he appears in the main area again. Use it to destroy any attacks he throws at you, and wait for him to appear once more. Again,he’ll destroy the Super Ability after the second hit.
Dodge his attacks and wait for him to summon more enemies, thengrab the Super Ability as soon as it appears. Use the Super Ability when Magalor teleports to you. You’ll destroy the last section of this health bar.
Use the Super Ability to destroy the last smidge of his real health bar. Move the directional stick around to give Kirby enough strength hit Magalor once more.
Fourth Phase
Magalor isn’t done yet. You’ll betransported to another boss arena.
If you’re low on health here, don’t worry. If you die, you’ll be able to enter the boss at this phase. You’ll also be able tochoose from the Copy Abilities againto give you an advantage.
Magalor will summon regular enemies, sograb a Copy Ability from them if you can. He’ll also summon spikes from above and below — you cansee where they’ll show up by the dark shadow on the ground.
Just like before, Magalor willproduce balls of dark energy to throw at you. Dodge these or destroy them using a Copy Ability.
Magalor will maketwo star portals appear on either side of the arena and dive through them. Jump out of the way of these so that he doesn’t bump into you.
He’ll also use the beam attack from before, so make sure to jump out of the way of this.
This is an ideal opportunity to attack Magalor. When you’re out of the way of the beam, relentlessly attack him to get in some damage while he’s stationary.
Additionally, he’ll summona number of star portals around you and make them turn into spikes to hit you. Jump to the center and stay on the ground to avoid being hit.
When he’s down to half HP, he’llsummon two swords. He swings them at you, but he’s rather slow. Jump out of the way of the sword’s swing and attack from above. After a few swings,he’ll drop the swords and return to his usual attacks.
He’llcontinue summoning star portals, but this time he’ll shoot a beam between the two of them. Avoid being directly between the stars.
Keep hitting Magalor with a Copy Ability while dodging his attacks. Your best bet is touse long-range attacks, as getting too close to Magalor means he can easily bump into you. Stay agile and never in one place, asMagalor summons things to damage you in almost every part of the arena.
Once you’ve depleted his health bar, Magalor will finally be defeated, and you’ll see the ending cutscene.
