The Last Resort facility inLuigi’s Mansion 3is an eclectic structure with each floor having its own separate theme. So, how could we not expect there to be a gym and a total meathead of a ghost ready to stop Luigi in his tracks? It only makes sense.

Johnny Deepend is the 14th boss fight that Luigi will encounter along his journey to save his brother, Princess Peach, and the Toads from King Boo’s painting prisons. Johnny is located on the 13th floor of the resort, and he spends his days haunting the fitness center likely pumping iron. Hey, even a ghost has to keep up a daily workout regimen, apparently.
Phase 1: Drain The Pool
That’s right, Johnny makes the swimming pool his domain. The moment Luigi enters, he begins assaulting the nervous plumber withpolo balls.The idea here is to get to the other side of the pool and drain the water. The only problem is that there’s a gate on both sides of the pool making this a job forGooigi.
If you’replaying co-op, this might be easy enough. The player who is in control of Gooigican run and take cover behind pillars and objects whenever Johnny spouts water at him.Johnny will target Gooigi first attempting to dissolve him.
If you’replaying solo, it’s imperative that you create a window for Gooigi to make his move, especially since he is completely vulnerable when turning the switch. Luigi can create this window bystunning Johnny with a polo ball. Grab one and shoot it at him with the vacuum.Move Gooigi to cover, and then rinse and repeat until you can get Gooigi to the drain wheel.Use the vacuum to turn it.
Phase 2: Pummel Johnny
Once the water is drained, Johnny will find that he is stuck in the drain.The battle must now descend into the empty pool. Don’t get too close as Johnny can pack a wallop that is damaging. Really,you don’t even need to give Johnny a chance to attack you as this is likely the easiest phase of any boss fight in the entire gameif you quickly follow through with the appropriate actions.
The first order of business is to grab a polo ball and shoot it at Johnny to stun him. Then suck off his goggles. Strobulb flash him and vacuum the ghostly fella up.It should only take one pass with the vacuum to get the job done.
