How To Start Extreme Cosplay

Travel to the Doren Alma Estate to start this quest. It’s a lone buildingsoutheast of Beauclair.When you arrive,investigate the doorto start a cutscene where a man, Gaston, starts calling for help from the road.

Youonly have one chance to start this quest.It will fail if youleave without continuing.

Geralt follows the man to a recently deceased corpse. It only takes a quick glance for Geralt to confirm that theman had suffered an unnatural death,warranting an investigation.

Investigating The Estate

With a scared merchant in tow,enter the estateto find a charnel house. With corpses strewn across the ground and furniture flung about in every direction, you haveplenty of clues to investigate.

Inspect whatever you wish, heading towardsthe fountain west of the entrance.There, you can finda burn mark with a scent that Geralt can follow.It leads him to the main building, where you canhear a man cowering inside.

Given that he’s your only witness,knock on the door to get him to come out.Though shaken, he manages to introduce himself asDurand, the lord of the area.He is a member of a history-loving society that hadre-enacted the elven surrender.

The only way to prevent whatever had caused the murder from striking again is for Geralt to confront and vanquish it. To do that, he will have toreenact the scenethat Durand had done. Fortunately, both men volunteer, making it possible.

Reenacting The Scene

When night falls, everyone gets into position to start the reenactment. There arefour steps to complete.

Equippingthe shield might be confusing,considering that it’s not Geralt’s standard equipment.Find it in the Quest Itemstab in your inventory and equip it toyour gear wheel.Geralt willhold the shieldafter you select it from that menu.

Once everything is done, the reenactment continues. It ends withthe statues coming to lifeand trying to kill the group.

How To Beat Extreme Cosplay

You are in forone of the toughest fights in the game,especially at higher difficulties. These statues are some of the deadliest foes you might face in Geralt’s adventure, despite their appearances. They consist oftwo sorceressesand a number ofspearmen.

You want tokeep moving throughout.The sorceresses willuse bolts of fireto hit Geralt from afar.Staying still for even a momentrisks being hit by that attack. Try tokeep dodging,even when there are no immediate threats to avoid this. While temptingrefrain from rolling,otherwise you mayprevent your stamina from recovering.

Prioritizekilling the sorceressesbefore anything else. Their magic will keep you moving and eventake out large chunks of your healthwhile you’re attacking other targets. Be wary oftheir tendency to release a blast of energywhen Geralt’s too close and be ready tododge away to avoid it.

Your best bet would be tothrow bombs at the statueswhenever possible. While the animation puts youat risk of being hit by the sorceresses,catching the group with aDancing StarorSamumwill buy you a few precious seconds to recover.Northern Windis particularly useful thanks to its ability tofreeze your opponents solid.

If you haven’t got any good crowd-control options, considerrunning up the stairs leading to the manor.This willfunnel the statuesthrough a tight space, minimizing the advantage that their numbers gives them.

Though it may take a few attempts, you willeventually triumph,bringing the quest to a close. There are a handful of useful items, especially in thechest behind the fountain.ensure to pick it up because you will not be able to return.
