As you near the end ofPersona 3 Portable, you’ve already handled one of your final guardian shadows in Adamah and only have four more to go. Your next fight will be against three Carnal Snakes, whose fire and dark magic shouldn’t be underestimated – the enemies are getting stronger as you near the top of Tartarus, and the Carnal Snake guardians are no joke.

Carnal Snake Battle Setup

Three Carnal Snake guardian shadows can be found on228Fofthe Adamah blockof Tartarus.

With the Carnal Snakes entering the fight at Lv. 67, you’ll want to bebetween Lv. 65-70for the easiest time in the fight.

The Snakes have plenty of elemental strengths, so focus your Persona selection on ones that know goodice magic or physical attacks.

We recommendedSiegfriedfor your last battle against the Noble Seekers, and we stand by it here as well. With plenty of multi-target physical moves, Siegfried can target each Carnal Snake at once.

Carnal Snake Battle Strategy

While the three Carnal Snake guardian shadows in P3P don’t have many elemental attacks, they’re really effective at outputtingfire and dark damage.

This is whereJunpei and Koromarucome in.Junpei blocks firewith Trismegistus, while also knowinggood physical damageattacks and even gainingFire Breakat Lv. 60 to allow him to effectively use Agidyne where it otherwise wouldn’t work.

Meanwhile,Koromaru blocks both fire and darkmagic. And ifJunpei uses Fire Break, thenKoromaru benefitsas well, with a handful of fire-based magic attacks.

Not only are these two good choices for the overall safety of their affinities, but having them there maymake the Carnal Snakes waste time with their own Fire Break skill.

You can capitalize on this not only by having two teammates who resist fire, but byincluding Aigisin the team setup tofocus her on buffing the team.

You may have noticed how many-kaja and -kunda skillsthe snakes know, which cancel status changes made to either team, respectively.

IfAigis is boosting the team’s stats, then you’ll find that the Snakes arelikely to waste time canceling these effectson either your team or theirs.

Any turn a Carnal Snake guardian spends using either Fire Break or a status-changing move is a turn on which they do not attack, sotry to force them to waste this timeas often as you may.

As all of this is happening, focus onlaying on damage with your MC. Home in on the Carnal Snakes’physical and ice neutralitiesto effectively take them out.
