Starting Stranger In A Strange Land
This quest has somerelatively strict starting requirements.You will need to have completedContract: The Phantom Of Eldbergbefore the questKing’s Gambit.
Should these conditions be met,Geralt and Jorund will be caught in a fightin Arinbjorn’s tavern. In the ensuing melee, Jorund will be killed by Kori and Kraki before Geralt kills the pair in turn, leaving him the sole survivor.

How To Save Jorund
Jorund is a nice guy that was a friendly face in an unfriendly place. If you want him to live,you will have to skip this quest.Do not turn this quest inuntil you complete King’s Gambit.He will live, though you will miss out on content.

How To Get Out Of Jail
After a series of cutscenes, you are placed in control of a freshly incarcerated Geralt. The situation is an inconvenience, to say the least. You canwalk up to the doorto talk to a guard. He tells you thatit can take yearsfor Geralt’s trial to begin.
There arethree waysto secure an early trial.
Talk To Simun Brambling
This man isat the back of the cave,and will call Geralt over. As he explains, a guard owes him a favor that Simun is more than willing to use for Geralt’s benefit. However, you willhave to help him down the line.
Agreeing to his terms willget you out of jailand will have you startAn Unpaid Debtafter completingThe Cave of Dreams.

Charm The Guard
You can use Geralt’s witcher ways to get out byusing Axii to get the guard to bring Geralt outwithout much fuss.
While this is the smoothest way to get out, you needDelusion at level threeto succeed.
Fight The Prisoners
A fun way to get out would be toattack your fellow prisoners.If you manage to beat the lot of them, the guard willlet you out.
