Now that you completedHumanity’sPrologue, you may feel a false sense of confidence. After all, as long as you lead your humans in the right direction, everything should go fine, right? Unfortunately, if this sounds like you, you’re in for a rude awakening. Literally, your first sequence of trials is called “The Awakening.”

The Awakening marks Humanity’s transition from tutorial to trial. Each stage will test your spatial awareness, management skills, and decision-making. Furthermore, to collect every Goldy, you must go above and beyond expectations, learning the deep intricacies of each puzzle.

Some of our instructions include directions. In these instances, assume each direction is related to where the humans are facing.

Trial 1: Crossroads

Crossroadsis a tricky trial due to its intersectional nature (we mean that literally). You could direct your two paths of humans across the center platform to the other side, thus solving the puzzle. However, you’d miss the People Switch at the top of the center tower. This switch reveals atunnel that houses the second Goldy.

Trial 2: Loop The Loop

Loop The Loopis a trial that prioritizesspacing and cyclical patterns. You can only use long jumps, meaning yourhumans will land four squares from where you set each jump. Once you form the puzzle’s center loop, you must maintain this pattern to enable the structures that bridge your humans to the light.

Trial 2A: Three Towers

Three Towersis an elaborate trial featuringthreeGoldys, threePeople Switches, and only one light. The key to success is traversing each tower while keeping all three People Switches active simultaneously. We’ll refer to each building asTower 1, 2, and 3, respectively, from left to right.

Trial 3: Goldy Fish

As the name implies, theGoldy Fish trial feels like fishing for Goldys. That’s because each Goldy is located in different areas of a pool in the center of the stage. Therefore, a strong understanding of vertical space is required to snatch all three Goldys.

Trial 3A: Water Fall

At first glance,Water Fallmay feel like your Waterloo. Fortunately, once you understand its concept, this trial is easily solvable. The key is touse the pool to travel from ledge to ledge.

Trial 4: Air Flow

In our opinion,Air Flowis the most challenging trial to achieve a perfect Goldy run. The power of theindustrial fans connecting each platform affects spacing and landings. Plus, there are three People Switches and a quick redirection. So rather than walk you through every direction, we’ll take a task-based approach to these instructions.

Trial 5: Bridge The Gap

Bridge The Gapis the first trial that utilizes the float command.Float commands make humans travel furtherwhile jumping andprotect them from harmwhile falling. This effect stays active until the affected humans land after a jump or fall.

Trial 6: Goldy Arches

Goldy Arches, the Awakening Sequence’s final trial, employs concepts similar to Bridge The Gap but more complexly. Getting each Goldy requires you to figure out how to transport your humans back and forth between the two large platforms.

The Three Towers trial of Humanity tasks the player with guiding humans across three people switches separated among three towers.
