How Many Endings Are There In Persona 3 Portable?
While it takes a while before you’ll get to the point of being able to influence them,Persona 3 Portable has two endings.
The first step to either is simply toplay the game as normal, completing all your Full Moon Operations and taking down the major arcana shadows as instructed.
But come November, you learn that things have not always been as they’ve appeared, and after some lengthy story and plenty of background information, you’re presented with a binary choice.
Ryoji presents you with your options at thebeginning of Decemberand gives you a month to think on it.
When he returns on New Year’s Eveon 12/31for your answer, you must decide right then: you can eitherkill Ryojiin an attempt to stop the coming of Nyx or opt tospare Ryojiand agree to battle Nyx for the fate of the world.
To get thebad endingto Persona 3 Portable, the only thing you need to do isagree to kill Ryoji.
Be it the first or second time he asks, when you speak to him alone in your bedroom on New Year’s Eve, select tokill him.
He presents this as a way tolive in peace until Nyx arrives, offering the chance to wipe your memory and live your final days in serenity. Ryoji is understanding, opting to spend a quiet moment with you before you do what needs to be done.
This choice leads to atime skipthat brings you into March. You see a short scene of what would happen, and the game ends with the implication that the group lives the rest of their days in peace.
How To Get The Good Ending Of P3P
To get thegood endingin P3P, you’ll need to insteadlet Ryoji livewhen he comes to you on New Year’s Eve for your decision.
He transforms into his shadow form (which you saw when you awakened to your Persona on your first night at the dorms) and asks you if you’re sure.Agree a second timeto confirm your choice.
While the previous ending completes the game right then, letting Ryoji live is thetrue ending. This leads to the unlocking ofthe Adamah blockof Tartarus, the establishment of theJudgment arcana, and an entireadditional monthin which you’re able to finish social links (or begin new ones).
If you go this route, you’ll have your final battle against Nyx on1/31. The fight is lengthy with14 stages to fight through, but you’ll need todefeat Nyx Avatar to get the best ending.
