Developed by Dambuster Studios, the first-person action RPGDead Island 2finally launched in 2023. With it comes a whole array of creative ways to kill zombies, across the blood-soaked streets of LA. Originally announced all the way back in 2014, this game was a long time in the making and with its launch, players are desperate to dive into this heart-pumping world.

In Dead Island 2 there is a whole new arsenal of weapons to create with a sprawling world to uncover, leaving everyone with the question of how long they will get to be spending with this game.
According toHowLongToBeat, completing just the main story will take roughly17½ hours.
This time will, of course, depend on how much time you spend exploring the world. Even though the game is technically not open-world, there are still plenty of open levels for you to explore. They are calledneighbourhoods, as you spend your time killing zombies around the LA area.
These neighbourhoods are stuck behind loading screens but can be revisited as often as you like, giving you ample opportunity to deviate away from the main story and spend more time collecting the more unique items and collectables.
To complete the entire main game and then completeall side quests and other content, you are looking at around 26 hours.
A lot of this additional time will be spent, as expected, revisiting old neighbourhoods that you will have already gone through for the main mission, finding named zombies, unlocking all the secrets, and completing all the side-quests that you can.
In total, there are150 different collectables to find, from ID cards to excerpts and tapes. Repeating areas in games and going around looking for collectables can be tedious, but it is made easier by the33 side missionsyou are able to do alongside your exploration.
