As such, you may go through the entire game with no knowledge of what adrenaline is or how it works. In fact, you might only know it is in the game because some skill descriptions mention it. Don’t worry, though, as everything you need to know about adrenaline is included in this guide.
How Adrenaline Works And How To Build Up Adrenaline Points
On your hud,you may notice a few boxes under your stamina meter. This is your adrenaline meter.
When attacking enemies, it builds up.Yet, when you’re out of combat, it quickly decreases.

You will findmany weapons, armor, and skills in the game that will boost how quickly your adrenaline meter fills. You know which ones do this because itwill say so in their descriptions.
Uses Of Adrenaline
The biggest question surrounding adrenaline is,“what does it do?“That is a fair question as it doesn’t seem to do anything to the untrained eye. However, there are several uses for it.
Thebasic one is increased weapon damage. You get this automatically as it’stied to the Battle Trance core ability. But that is certainly not the only ability that makes use of adrenaline, asthe following ones also do:

A fancy spinning attack that consumes stamina and adrenaline.
Rend
Combat
A significant power attack that does a lot of damage, depending on your amount of stamina and adrenaline points.
Deadly Precision
Increases the chance of getting an instant kill. This probability is increased by the number of adrenaline points you have.
Undying
When your health runs out, you will immediately be revived as long as you have an adrenaline point.
Flood Of Anger
When casting signs, this ability uses adrenaline points to boost the sign significantly.
Hunter Instinct
Alchemy
When you’ve got full adrenaline points, critical hit damage is increased.
Adrenaline points increase both weapon damage and sign intensity.
Battle Frenzy
General
Changes the effect of Battle Trance, as it now increases critical hit chance based on how many adrenaline points you have.
