Gran Turismois one of the big beasts for PlayStation, and the latest incarnation might well be the slickest it’s ever been. While the number of the available cars, tracks, and game modes may be a little wanting, it’s harder to argue against how this might be the best Gran Turismo has ever looked, but also, crucially, the best it’s ever felt.
This is testament to the driving and physics systems developer Polyphony Digital built. And it’s one that players are also having fun with. Over on the Gran Turismo subreddit, one player put together a little demonstration of as they showed off all the cars doing wheelies from the start.

Using a line-up of Porsches, the player set up their own custom race, selecting their car of choice for the AI. Then it required a little bit of tinkering with the cars to set them up in order to do their wheelies. Check out the video below to see it in action:
As commentors note in the thread, in real life racecar drivers and stunt drivers are able to pull off wheelies, so Gran Turismo, with its realistic physics model, should have no trouble replicating such feats. Some also provided tips on how to do it in the game.
“There are several cars that can perform wheelies, like the VW Bug or the DeLorean DMC-12, if you set them up correct”, wrote u/triggerhappybaldwin. “Adding max ballast to the rear and raise rear suspension to max height with max stiffness and lower front with softest setting will make some cars wheelie until 4th gear”.
It’s fun to see an entire row of cars on the grid do wheelies, and one commentor quipped: “Synchronised wheelying should become a sport”. The OP agreed and added elsewhere that they used a stock car with racing softs to achieve the effect.
In other news, Gran Turismo 7 got a big update patch recently that added five new cars, new track layouts, as well as bringing 120fps support, among other updates. Read more about the update on the PS Bloghere.
